Jane was very poor, she learned at a young age don't give up hope so that's what she did. She grew up in a orphanage always wondering who was her mom. Everyone there got taken home to a family except Jane. When Jane was 6 her every first best friend moved away. Then when she was 10 she was the oldest one there. Nobody wanted an ten year old. They all wanted baby's and toddlers. So when Jane was 14 she ran away.
Jane walked through mud in the forest. And stepped on branches, until she got to a highway and walked on that. She saw a rusted old green truck(the ugly colour the one that looks like a person is going to through up). Jane put her thumb up hoping that the truck would stop. But when the driver saw her they went even faster. It was hours before she saw another car. When she did they all went faster when they noticed her. It was becoming dark outside and the sky turned to a navy blue. She was getting sleepy an blisters were forming on her feet. Just when she was going to go and sleep on the road, Jane saw an old cottage down by the hill. She felt hope when she went down and knocked on the door. A pleasant elderly woman came to the door and greeter her. "Hello what are you doing in this kind of weather? Come in I'll make you some soup." The old woman uttered. "Thank you." Janes voices cracked when she said that.
As Jane puts the soup in her mouth she starts to cry. " I've never had warm soup before! I come from an orphanage and I'm just so thankful that you let me eat this soup." Jane starts sobbing as she says that. " I...I understand if you want to take me bbbback" Jane says whispering underneath her breath. " No, no I'm getting very old now and I need some help now. You can stay if you will help, by the way my names Abigail." Abigail mentioned. " My name is Jane and thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me."
For the past 4 years of Janes life that's what she did until Abigail died.
She got a goat that she found on the the side of the road. Then she sold it she had just enough money so buy an old farm, down by the river.
