I stumbled into the house, a little dazed and confused. I looked around, and everything still seemed normal. My mom was still sitting on the couch, enjoying her movie.
"Whats wrong honey? Looks like you've seen a ghost" she said with a light laugh.
I didn't laugh. I felt like everything was almost taken from me. I was scared of what had actually happened. I don't know what's wrong with me.
'Am I still even human?' I thought to myself 'what's wrong with me?'
"Sweetheart, are you okay?" My mom asked, a concerning look starting to come across her face.
I really couldn't wrap my head around any of this. I've read comic books my whole life, and one super hero kept coming to mind. The Flash. But that didn't make any sense. I didn't see a particle accelerator blow up, blasting dark matter throughout my body. So what was so special about that lightening strike? Then I remembered.
'The lightening strike came at me' I thought to myself. 'Not from the sky'
"Honey, are you okay?" Asked my now concerned mom
"I'm fine," I lied "perfectly fine."
