Soul's POV

I stood with Maka holding her hand as the DWMA stairs sat in front of us. As we both gave each other a small kiss the loud idiotic Black Star pounces in front of us.

"oh Hey Black Star it's early for you to be here don't ya think?" I stated annoyed with him ruining my moment with Maka.
"I'M THE AMAZING BLACK STAR I MUST COME EARLIER TO SCHOOL NOW BECAUSE MY FANS NEED THEIR AUTOGRAPHS!!!! AND PLUS AS LONG AS IM HERE THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEMS CAUSE IM GOING TO SURPASS GOD AND ALL THAT SO I MUST BE READY!!! AHAHAHA!" he screamed that entire announcement without a slight breath, he's fucking crazy.

Just then Kidd and his twin pistols, Liz and Patty greet our group, "Hey Soul, Black Star, Tsubaki, and Maka! What is up?" He smiles, something that doesn't happen often. Nobody really knows why Kidd doesn't smile we just assume it's his way of being a son of a God.

~in class~

The Overcome went off asking for me, Kidd, Maka, and Black Star. Odd because I was the only weapon out of the three well known Misters.

We all walked towards Lord Death's room, Kidd looking down the entire time, Black Star trying to get his attention, and me and Maka holding hands.

When we entered Tsubaki and the Thompson twins were already in the room. Once we saw Lord Death we realized something really off with Kidd, his eyes were red, baggy, and tired, all of us knew something was up and it was bad.

"Hello Kiddo! Soul and Black Star and Maka! I have some upsetting news..." the Shinigami spoke

"What is it?" was all I could ask. And it was all That everyone else could ask too.

"Father? What happened?" Kidd asked

"Well as most of you know Maka brought back Crona after the Kishin was killed, well the Kishin's black blood got into Crona and Soul which we all knew that Soul already had some from when hit by Crona a while back."

Damn it! I didn't want anyone to know about that especially not Maka.

"AN AMAZING PERSON LIKE ME DOESNT HAVE TO BE SCARED OF BLACK BLOOD!!! IM THE AMAZING BLACK STAR!!" Monkey man Black Star shouted.

"and that's exactly why Tsubaki and Maka will be partners for a while and you Black Star, Liz and patty will be partners!" the God spoke once more, "Soul and Kiddo, will be partners as well now! I'm sorry to break your symmetry Kiddo but it's for the best! I know you can help Soul with the madness inside him!"

~afterwards~

As Black Star, Liz and Patty left, so did Tsubaki and Maka. I already miss Maka, I love her and I missed her already. Kidd was looking at the ground while walking out with me, I've always wondered why he always seems so depressed but I never ask but I guess now that I have to live with him we both would have to get to know each other.

Me and Kidd both arrive at his house. Everything was so perfectly aligned it was kind of scary.

"Kidd? Why do you like symmetry so damn much?" I finally questioned knowing he'd be pissed as fuck.

"Well I know that I'll never be perfect so I choose to make everything else perfect so I'm not looked down upon. And I know I'm garbage so seeing things that aren't, make me happy." Kidd answered in a matter of fact voice.

I looked at him but all I saw was a sad boy sitting on the couch blasting MCR and shit in his head phones. I felt bad for him, I knew there was something else that was going on in his life and I'd probably never know. Which made me think that maybe Liz or Patty know something the others don't. I know he's upset about something, I just don't fully on know what it is. I know I'm not his closest friend but I want to help. If Maka was here she would help, she's smart like that. I want to do something.

I yank off his headphones off his head and see his blood shot eyes and soaked cheeks and ask, "What is actually going on? And what's wrong?"

He looked up at me and faked a smile with more tears flooding from his eyes, "I'm fine."
