Chapter 16 (Mason's POV)

I wake up with a huge headache. I don't remember where I am at first. Then I see a gun pointed right at me. I start to freak out. I try getting up, but the guy says,

"Don't try anything stupid, or you may never see you stupid girlfriend again." I recognize him from somewhere. Henry Reon. He's the one we asked for directions.

"What did you do to her! If she's hurt, I swear I'll-" I yell

"You'll what? Kill me like you killed my brother all those years ago? Do you think you still have it in you?" Henry asked curiously

"Where's Rachel!" I yell

"Calm down lover boy. She's fine. For now, as long as you don't try to do anything stupid. It's to bad you came to my house asking for directions, you guys we almost there. But nope, I don't think you will be ever seeing that place again."

"What do you mean?" I ask

"Oh, you didn't get the hint?" Henry asks, He puts a smirk on his face and says," I'm going to kill you, and You won't ever see that dumb girl of yours or your home again. You guys were almost to Utah." I feel more anger in me than ever. Not that he's going to kill me, but that Rachel could be in danger. I feel something rolling down my cheek and Henry grabs my chin hard and says,

"Man, I got you pretty good there. DIdn't I." I rip my chin out of hs grip and try punching him, but then he points the gun back up to me and says,

"Not smart kid. I wouldn't do that unless you want her to go boom." Henry says. If he lays a finger on Rachel, I will kill him. I'll do whatever it takes. Henry brings some rop over to me, and starts tying me up then says,

"I better tie you up, You are a little more feisty than I remember." Henry laughs and walks away after he finishes tying me up. I'm in the same type of knot I was when me and Rachel were on that trailer. I tried getting out of it, but It is different now that there isn't two people to pull each other out. While trying to get out, I start getting dizzy and things start to go black. I'm pretty sure I passed out because I don't really remember falling asleep. But I wake up when I hear a door open.

"Time to get up Mason. We've got a long way ahead of us." A man says. At first I don't recognize where I am so I obey. But once I realize where I am, I go over to the door and make a run for it.

"He's on the run! Run after him now!" The man says. I run right into a dead end and I'm cornered. All the men are wearing ski masks. Except one. Michael. Michael tanner.

"Nice to see you again Mason." Michael says with a smirk on his face.

"What do you want with me?!" I ask raising my voice.

"Well you see, you and your girlfriend know my name, and where to find me and what I do. That may do us some trouble. So, your choices are, you guys join us or we kill you both. But I'm not so sure about the first option because how do I know I can trust you. Cuz you see everyone, I murdered his parents, and I don't think he would want to join up with me after I've done that. But then once again, you're smart, you're a horrible fighter, but we can fix that very easily. But you have skill. Especially when it comes to getting away. You know how to track people and you're a very good shot. So I'd say you practically an original. So I think I'll give you a chance. Your choice. Choose wisely. You won't be able to choose again." Michael says until he gets interrupted by a phone call.

Michael: Hello?

?????: We found her, we found the girl.

Michael: Very good. Bring her in

"Well, what a coincidence, they just found your girlfriend. They are bringing her in now. Would you like to make your decision with her presence?" Michael asks. I just stand there sweaty. My body is literally running on anger now. And I have to make a decision soon. If I choose to die, who knows what will happen to Rachel. But if I choose their side, Rachel may never understand. And If she leaves me I minus well die. I hear a girl yelling down the hall.

"Let go of me!" She screams. I see them bring Rachel around the corner. When she sees me, she rips her right arm out of the right mans grip then knees the left man in the balls. He falls to the ground, and start yelling in pain. The man on her right grabs her arm again and Rachel lifts her eyebrows and brings her left hand in a fist and puts it level to her face. He immediately backs off. She comes running towards me when Michael says,

"What are you doing?! She is a teenager and you are both grown men!" The man that used to be on her left has his mouth hanging open like he was trying to say something but doesn't. Rachel just keeps on running towards me then says,

"Mason!" Once she is about six feet away from me the men guarding me with guns, look nervously at Michael, but Michael doesn't respond. Rachel reaches me, and I say,

"I'm so sorry I got you in this mess." Before I can say anything else, Rachel grabs my face and kisses me. We pull apart and I just stare at her and she stares back at me. She starts opening her mouth to say something, but I grab the back of her neck and the side of her fae and pull her in and I kiss her. I kiss her hard knowing this maybe the last time I will ever kiss her again.

"That's enough!" Michael yells. But I don't hear anyone moving, so I just keep kissing her.

"Now!" Michael screams. I hear footsteps coming towards us. In between a breath, I whisper,

"I love you Rachel." And I kiss her one more time. I feel a hot tear touch my cheek. It's not mine, so it must be Rachels. Rachels crying. Someone pulls Rachael away from me. She starts screaming and crying while saying,

"NO! Please, Mason! Mason!" They take her away. Michael looks pleased with himself. More anger spreads throughout my body. I start going at Michael. Michael says,

"Hey! You touch me, and Rachel dies! I gave you time with her, and I decided since I did that, I will make your decision for you. I want you on my side. I will keep Rachel alive as long as you behave. And I will let you have ten minutes with her a week. You do something stupid, you both die. So be smart kid." Henry says
