I've been in the hospital for 4 days now, and I seriously want to leave! I hate hospitals! The morning I finally got out I woke up all alone.
"Daddy!?"
When I yelled daddy the nurse ran in and said "it's alright layla your daddy's just went out a minute to talk to someone on the phone!"
"Ok . . . ."
"Now I'm gonna check and see how your doing ok? (I knotted) well your doing much better if it's fine with the doctor you can leave today!"
"Yeah . . . . Oops sorry!"
"Its ok . . . . I'm guessing you hate hospitals?"
"Mhm . . . ."
"Its ok sweetheart most people do!"
Daddy walked in right at that moment "daddy!"
"Hi baby girl sorry I was out of the room when you woke up."
"Its ok daddy . . . ."
"So how is she doing nurse?"
"Pretty good actually it's up to the doctor, but I think she's ready to go home!"
"Ok thanks for telling me!"
"Anytime Mr Schneider . . . ."
"You happy you might be able to go home?"
"Yeah I am!"
About an hour later the doctor checked me out. The doctor said the same thing the nurse did that I'm fine to go home now! My dad signed me out luckily he brang me some clothes. I would have had to wear my dirty clothes to meet the cast of dukes for the first time. This is the outfit dad brang me.

Once I got dressed in the bathroom at the hospital we finally left toward dad's job sight. When we got there I was jumping up and down because I was getting to meet the dukes cast.
"Ok sweetheart were here . . . ."
"Yeah!"
Daddy came over to my side a pick me up and put me on his hip. We went to hair and make up first Dasiy was coming out all finished "oh my gosh is this her John?"
"Yep this is layla! Layla this is Cathy . . . ."
I said "Dasiy!"
Cathy said "nice to meet you lay!"
Dad said "Cathy can you take layla to meet the rest of the cast while I get ready for the day?"
"Sure (daddy handed me to Dasiy) Ready to meet th rest of the cast lay?"
"Yeah!"
Daddy was already in the make up chair by now he said "now be good for aunt Cathy layla!"
"I will daddy!"
Dasiy was walking around with me on her hip trying to find one of the cast mates that wasn't busy. Finally we found uncle Jesse who was just reading over the scrip again.
"Hey uncle Denver!"
"Hey Cathy who's this?"
"This is layla John's adopted daughter!"
"Well nice to meet you layla!"
"Uncle Jesse!" I reached out for uncle Jesse he took me out of Dasiys arms. Right as enos and Rosco walked out from finishing a scene they did with boss Hogg. I heard rosco call enos a dipstick which made me laugh. Rosco and enos turned toward me Dasiy and Jesse enos said "possum on a gumbush . . . . Who's this cutie?"
Cathy said "this is layla John's adopted daughter!"
Rosco said "well nice to meet you layla I'm . . . ."
I said "Rosco enos!"
"Well yes that's us. But not our real names my name's James and the dipsticks name is Sonny!"
I reached out for enos this time as boss walked up behind all of us "Well well well so John finally went to adopt hi layla!"
I hid my face in enos neck he rubbed my back to calm me as Cathy said "lay it's ok sorrell is nice in real life. When he's not in character."
I said "really?"
"Yep . . . ."
Boss walked up to me and motioned for enos to hand me to him.
"I'm sorry if my character scared you, but I am nicer than him."
I wasn't hiding from him any more mostly because I couldn't. So I knotted still not sure if I like boss. Finally my daddy was done with hair and make up. So him and luke came up to all of us and I reached out for him to take me from boss.
"I guess you meet everyone then baby? (I buried my head in dad's neck) What's wrong layla?"
Then sorrell said "she's scared of me because of my character on the show!"
"I'm sure she'll get used to you soon!"
"I hope so!"
I said "no . . . ."
Dad said "No what baby?"
"I haven't met everyone!"
"Who haven't you met?"
"Cooter!" I saw him walking toward us and pointed at him.
"Oh right . . . . Ben buddy is like you to meet my adopted daughter layla!"
"Well hi cutie! (I giggled as he said cutie, and reached up so cooter would take me into his arms.) I'm sorry sweetheart, but I can hold you unless you want oil on you!"
"Ok . . . ."
"But don't worry if you catch me when I'm not covered in oil. I'll definatly hold you!"
"Yeah! (I made everyone laugh at how excited I acted) what?"
Enos said "well John I think you picked the right little girl she is so much like you already!"
