Memories start with a simple hello

A New Start -chapter 1

 I sit in my room unpacking boxes to my new home. The new house in London sure is different than my old house in California. Alot bigger too. I hung a large picture of my friends on my lilac wall. it looked good together. I then set my journals on my bed. i have written in them since i was 9. i have recently got a new one from my best friend Andie. it has my name on it. Melody. It is written is teal handwriting with a black and white polka dotted background. Andie gave it to me so i could start writing about starting my new year at Dexter High School. I was very excited yet nervous.

               I woke up this morning and got ready for my first day of Dexter High. I wore a pair of blue skinny jeans with a grey and yellow Jack Wills shirt i had just gotten from the store the other day. i lightly curled my brown hair and put some makeup on my green eyes. i looked actually not to bad. i grabbed my checkered bag and headed off to school.

             When i arrived at the school all eyes were on me. the new girl. I stood awkwardly and silent at the front of the class as Mrs. Maric did Attendence then told me where to sit. i ended up sitting between a girl and a boy. "Hi i'm Liam." the boy next to me said with a hand out. i shook it and replied, ''I'm Melody." "pretty name!" the girl on my left said. "I'm Kimber Rollins. and over there is my sister Alanna." she said pointing across the room. Kimber had blonde hair as did her sister. but i found Kimber a bit prettier than Alanna. Liam seemed like a kind, gental person. i over heard him talking about trying out for the xFactor with 4 of his friends. But i guess i should stay out of peoples buisness. during the class the boy sitting in front of me turned around. "Hello, I'm Niall." "Hi, i'm Melody." "Pretty name for a pretty girl." he smiled. i blushed. "Thanks." ''want to come to mine and Liams flat after school?" "sure!" ''ok meet me at the lockers and we can walk together.'' he said. i nodded in agreement.

                After school Liam and Niall were standing with 3 of there other friends. "Melody this is Zayn, Harry and Louis." they all smiled and nodded as in they were greeting me. i gave a quick wave as we all headed to their flat. when we arived we headed downstairs where there were 5 microphones lined up, one set of drums, 3 guitars and a piano set up. "this is the band room. we are going to audition for the xfactor in 2 days. we have been practicing forever!" Liam said. ''mind showing me how you guys sound?'' i simply asked. ''sure! our first audience!" Harry said excitingly. they lined up behind the microphoned. Niall the only one with a guitar helped set a beat. ''we have to do an accoustic version since our band isnt here.'' i nodded.  they started with a song called Nobody knows. i have heard it before but there voices made it sound absolutly perfect. they finnished the song and looked at me. i was stunned. ''that was-'' i was then cut off by the boys. ''great?, terrible? amazing? horrible?'' they all shouted at me. ''it was breath taking! you guys have such angelike voices together.'' i was still amazed of how good they sounded. ''thank you so much Melody. that means alot.'' Niall said. ''you guys can call me Mel if you want too.''  ''ok. Mel. Will you come to our audition?'' Louis begged as did the other boys. ''i guess so.'' i grinned at them. ''thank you, thank you!'' Zayn exclamed. í met these boys no less than 5 hours ago and yet we seem to be bestfriends. them trusting me and me trusting them. i absolutley love them! they are so adorable and so friendly. i think this is the start of a great friendship.
