His claws stop before they reach her face. Her heart is jumping in her throat but Rin keeps her eyes on Sesshomaru's. Not once did she flinch.
"Silly girl." He says in her mind. "I easily could have killed you."
"But you didn't." Rin remarks.
"I am more than capable."
"I never said you weren't."
Sesshomaru pulls his paw away and transforms to his human form. He stands naked before her but she keeps her eyes on his.
"You've changed Rin."
She walks towards him, reaches up and tucks a strand of his hair behind his ear.
"I'm not a little girl anymore, my Lord."
Rin takes a deep breath, closes her eyes and gently presses her lips against his. He doesn't react. At first.
Slowly, he puts his arms around her waist and pulls her in. He softly pushes forward with his lips and kisses her back ever so gently. When they pull away, Rin opens her eyes and sees a look on Sesshomaru that she has never seen before. His face was mostly stoic, but his mouth was slightly agape and his facial marks seem to glow. Most of all, his eyes were livelier than she has ever seen.
"I must leave. Please." He steps away from her and finds his clothes next to the garden. "Enjoy the castle." He says after he puts on his clothes. With that, he disappears.
Rin stands in shock for a while before hitting herself in the head.
"Ugh! What was I thinking?!"
She sighs and walks back to Sesshomaru's room.
"Of course! I scared him off! I didn't even-I didn't think I just did it in the moment and now? He's gone! I should've known! I scared him away! He should've killed me right in that spot! I can't even talk to him for a minute before-"
"Rin? Are you okay?"
Rin looks down and sees Master Jaken at her feet. She sighs.
"Better than I will ever be." She says sarcastically and walks past him.
Jaken shakes his head. "I never get any respect around here."
