I can only be Me...

I may sit and joke sometimes, or I can break down and let out the flood in my eyes.

I can laugh with my homies and bros, and I can just kick back and enjoy some time with my folks

I may not smile at first, but best believe inside I'm ready to burst

I won't cry at funeral for the person I love, but that's because I got belief in the Man above

I crave the enjoyment of a good time with the boys, and I love the simple romantic joys

I get sad when the hero loses out, and when the bad guy is winning I just want to shout

I care for my friends more than they'll ever know, and maybe sometimes it's more than I'll ever show

I hug my girlfriend in the middle of the crowd, and fear for her safety if only she knew how.

I like Hip-hop, rap, reggae and soul, I'll listen to anything with a story to be told

I admire Che Guevara for never giving up, and Nelson Mandela for standing up

I love to watch a good match in the stand or on the couch, even when my team is falling out

I admire Kaka for his love for his job and God, and how he works hard cause were all flawed

I write poems about horror to when I feel a bad emotion, and things to empower with devotion

I always judge a book by its cover even though it wrong, but how else can I keep from getting strung along

I was born on a Monday to Juline and Winston, they have high hopes that I'll go the distance

I love my brother Kevin and my sister LaToya, and she's kind of mean so that goes to show ya

I may upset some people as I walk through life, I may even cause some mothers a bit of strife

I may save a child at this rate, or go to France and find my soul mate

I may meet Kaka or A. Roth and knock some beers, or maybe I'll stay here and cooped under my fears

But God alone knows what I'll be so I think all I can do is wait and just be me
