I wake up in my bed. Peeta must have carried me up here before he left last night, like he said. I look at the clock to find that it reads 11:27am. I look at my phone to find a text from Peeta and I read it.

P: Good morning, beautiful. How about I take you to dinner tonight? :)

K: Sure!(: What time?

P: I'll pick you up at 7. Dress nice!

K: Last time you told me to dress nice, you took me somewhere expensive! You don't need to spend that much on me!

P: Don't be so stubborn:) Just do it, okay?

K: Fine :)

I call Johannah to see if she can meet me for breakfast at the cafe, since Finn is on his honeymoon. I take a quick shower. When I get out, I brush my teeth, then change into some gym shorts and a t-shirt, slide on some converse, and grab my wallet before walking out the door.

I enter the cafe and see Jo sitting at a table, talking to some guy with dark brown hair, who is standing next to her. I walk up to them and see that the guy has grey eyes, like mine.

"Hey, Jo. Who's your friend?" I say, sitting down across from her.

"This is Gale. He's an old friend of mine. Gale, this is Katniss," she says, introducing us to each other.

"Hey, how's it going?" he says to me.

"Good. Did I interrupt something?" I ask.

"No. But, I'll see you later, Jo-jo," he says, smiling at Johannah. "It was nice to meet you Katniss."

"You too, Gale," I say.

"Bye, Gale. I'm glad you're back. I missed my best friend," Jo says, as she gets up to hug him. Gale walks over to a table kind of by ours. I can see him, but Jo can't.

"So, where'd you meet Gale?" I ask.

"We were best friends in high school. Then, when we graduated, he had to go to college in Wisconsin. It's been a while since I've seen him," she says. "I'm gonna go get food. What do you want?"

"Can you get me a cinnamon roll and a hot chocolate?" I ask her.

"I guess," she says, then walks up to the counter. I notice that Gale dude watching her. I bet he likes her. Come to think of it, since I got here he has been looking at her like that. And he can't seem to stop smiling as he looks at her. When Jo walks back, she sees him and smiles. I swear I see a blush creeping on his face at the fact that she caught him staring at her. But, really, I don't think she even noticed. She sits down.

"So, how do feel about that Gale dude?" I ask, grinning.

"What are you talking about?" she asks, genuinely confused.

"Just curious. He's cute, don't you think?" I say, trying to get her to tell me.

"Well, yeah. He is. Does it matter?" she says.

"Do you like him?" I press on.

"I don't know. I never really thought about it. Plus, it's not like he likes me. We're just friends," she says, blowing it off like it's nothing. She tends to do that a lot.

"I'll be right back," I say, getting up and walking over to Gale.

"Hey," I say, grinning. I lean to his ear, so no one can hear me and whisper. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I ask. He shakes his head no. "Do you like Jo?" He hesitates before speaking.

"Is it that obvious?" he asks, his voice low, so only I can hear it. His face is glowing red.

"Just a tad. Well, what are you waiting for? Go ask her out," I say, still whispering.
