{Scarlett's POV}

"Christian!" I screeched as I felt paint splash onto my overalls.

"I'm sorry." He laughed out.

I thought painting the babies' room would be a lot easier and a lot of fun. I was wrong. Christian was like a child when it came to painting.

Though, I wouldn't trade him for anyone or anything else.

Lately, he's been the best mate I could have ever asked one. (Not that he wasn't before) He makes sure I'm taken care of before himself. I try to argue with him and show that I'm fine and capable of walking down the steps alone, but no he is right there guiding me down them. Gotta love him though.

This was actually his idea for us to do the nursery together instead of having someone else do it for us. We would feel a better attachment to it, he would say.

I agreed and was quick to start searching for ideas. Since the two would be sharing a room we painted the walls a light green. Or at least we were attempting to.

"If you splatter paint on me again, I'm shoving this paintbrush up your ass." I declared and he let out another laugh.

"Kinky." He replied and I scoffed chucking it at him but he swiftly moved aside before it could hit him.

"Idiot," I grumbled.

Mood swings. Yes, that is all I've been experiencing lately. Oh and cravings... yeah. I made Christian get up at two in the morning one night to fix me pizza. I have a feeling the kids are going to love pizza and pickles. Those are my two biggest cravings so far.

I felt Christian wrap his arms around me from behind.

"Don't pout." He said placing a kiss on the base of my neck.

"You irritate me." Christian, on the other hand, has loved teasing me and making me mad in any way he can.

Then he tries to seduce me into forgiving him and it usually works because hormones. What a bitch. Straight betrayal.

Christian placed his hands on my stomach. "Don't you think mommy should forgive me?" He asked and seconds later I felt a sharp kick.

"I think they agree." He said and I couldn't help but laugh.

They loved their dad already, that's for sure. Any time I wanted to get them to kick, they wouldn't, but the second he placed his palm there the soccer match would start.

But, aside from his teasing and overprotectiveness I've grown to not be able to be away from this man for even a day. He's my everything, and soon... these kids will be too.

We were scared, sure. We've never parented before and we didn't know how it would turn out. Though, I just knew everything would be okay because we had each other. We can get through this together.

"What are you thinking?" Christian asked.

"A thousand ways to kill you." I joked and he scoffed.

"Just kidding, kind of. I'm just thinking about how life will be when the babies come." I said turning to face him and we were smiling.

"Life will be good." He replied and I nodded wrapping my arms around him.

"It will be, won't it?"

"I promise you it will. We're going to be the best damn parents there ever was." He said and I grinned up at him.

"We will won't we?" He hummed in response leaning down giving me a soft kiss and before it could get heated.

"Nope, not today buddy. We have a room to paint." I said pulling away and he groaned.

"Fine." He mumbled picking back up his paintbrush and grabbed mine off the floor handing it to me.

"Try not to kill me with this." He said as I took it.

"No promises, love," I replied going back to painting the spot I had been working on.

I glanced at him to only find him staring at me.

"I love you." He told me and I could melt at that.

"I love you too."

That's what keeps me moving.
