Dear Penpal,

I'd like you to know that the only reason I'm doing this is because I was assigned to be some American girl's penpal partner. Although I also enjoy relaxing in the countryside, I'd rather prefer my current life here with my friends in the city of Oakenbrook. It is a small and quiet town, but near the center is the part where I live, filled with people and always bustling and lively. It is rather nice to see so many faces I know and love. However, I would also like to meet you sometime, if it's okay. I know it's weird for a penpal partner to be saying things like this, but you understand what I mean. Please do not take this the wrong way. I understand if you hate me now.

In other news, I would like to inform you that I humbly accept your affections, but I would like to keep this as an 'acquaintance' level friendship. I do not like the fact that someone from halfway across the world likes me from my writing...
