The Letters

9 4 1

Every letter to you,

I stowed away.

Didn't send it to you,

'Till this very day.

Kept all my writing,

Close to my heart.

Not sending them,

Allowed you a new start.

Many years later,

You're by my side.

I've forgotten the letters,

That I did hide.

One day I open,

A box in the back.

There's letters to you,

I see through the crack.

I take them out,

Read them one by one.

I put them back again,

That sadness is gone.
