CHAPTER 36

THIRD PERSON'S POV:

“Dito na tayo titira mama?!” Kelsey asked excitedly habang nakadungaw sa bintana ng van na sinasakyan nila, papasok na sila sa driveway ng mansion na pag-aari ng binata. Pati si Ethan ay tumayo din sa kinauupuan nya para dumungaw.

“Oo nga mama, this is our new house?!”

“Parang castle!” They said in unison.

“Kids, please, settle down. Malapit na tayo bumaba.” Suway nito sa mga bata. Si Edward naman ay natahimik lang at nakangiting pinagmamasdan sila.

After a minute or two, huminto na ang sasakyan sa harap ng mansion. Sinalubong sila ni Melissa at ibang mga maids. As expected, nag-unahan sa pagbaba ang kambal.

“Ethan, Kelsey, wag mag-unahan please. Baka magkasakitan kayo.” Kirsten.

“Babe, hayaan mo na sila. Excited lang ang mga bata.” He said as he help her and the kids alight from the vehicle. “Are you ready to see your rooms?”

They answered a loud “Yes!”

“Great, let’s go!”

Kirsten let out a deep sigh as she watch the three of them enter the house. He’s carrying Kelsey while his other hand was holding Ethan. She thought that he really loves the twins and somehow, she felt relieved that her kids seem to love him as well. At least, meron na talaga silang tunay na papa.

Pagpasok nya sa loob, nakuha ang atensyon nya ng mga naglalakihang lawaran na nakasabit sa may living room at sa stairway. She stared at the picture displayed in the living room, it’s their wedding portrait. She seem so happy, they both were. Too bad, those were forgotten memories now for her.

She followed them upstairs, at pagdating nya sa third floor, naabutan nya ang mga bata na tuwang-tuwa at nagtatatalon sa kama. Si Edward naman patawa-tawa lang na pinagmamasdan sila.

“What is going on?”

“Mama!” Kelsey jumps off the bed, grabs one of her toys and run towards her. “Mama look oh, we have so many toys!” She said elatedly.

“Pansin ko nga.” Tipid na turan nito saka naglakad papunta sa kama. “Ethan, out of the bed, now!” Suway nito sa anak na patuloy parin pa pagtalon sa kama. Tumigil naman si Ethan at bumaba ng kama. “What did I tell you, no jumping on the bed right?”

Tumango naman ang bata. Lumapit si Edward sa kanya. “Babe, let them be. Andito naman ako, nakabantay sa kanila. They’re just so excited. Hayaan mo na kasi.”

“Isa ka pa, kinokonsente mo eh. Pano kung mahulog sila? Ang kukulit pa naman ng mga ‘to.” Inis na tugon nito. Tahimik at nakatingin lang sa kanilang dalawa ang kambal.

“Kaya ka nagkaka-wrinkles eh, lagi kang nakasimangot.” Inakbayan nya ito. She narrowed her eyes on him, he just smiled at her. “Relax, they’ll be fine.”

Inalis nito ang pagkakaakbay sa kanya ng binata. “Pwede ba, don’t tell me to relax, I’m their mother, at hindi mo maalis sakin na hindi magworry.”

“And I’m their father, I won’t let anything happens to them kaya please, don’t be such a killjoy!”

“Please mama wag kana KJ and let us play na.” Kelsey plead with matching puppy eyes pa.

“See? Even the kids agrees with me na killjoy ka!” Edward mocked.

She crossed her arms around her chest. “Ah ganun… KJ pala ah! Eh kung magback-out kaya ako sa deal natin?” She threatened.

He chuckled. “Hindi mo magagawa yun…”

“At bakit hindi?”

He lean closer and whispered: “Because you can’t take your eyes off of me.”
