"You craved the type of passion that even brought the devil down to his knees."

I watched him as he took my hand in his, leading me to the dance floor. His eyes twinkled in the party lights, and his bottom lip was between his teeth.

God, he looked so good.

I hesitated when he pulled me closer to his body. The feeling of his lean arms protectively wrapping around my small frame sent butterflies to spill into my gut. The smell of him intoxicated me.

He put his forehead against mine, his eyes now studying me in a passionate way I've never seen before.

Everything in me was telling me to get away, to go back home to my boyfriend, but the rest of me was keeping my feet plastered to the ground. My arms felt like they were burning from his heat when I wrapped them around his neck.

He gave me a hint of a smirk that vanished quickly, his eyes remained staring at mine. His seemed in awe, as if he was relieved.

Why did he seem relieved?

The music around us was upbeat, and, even though it felt like we weren't moving at all, we were grinding close to each other.

When I noticed our proximity and our bodies moving against each other, I felt my face heat and redden.

His hand slowly went up to caress my cheek and, lost in his touch, I tilted my head into his palm. His skin seemed to cool down the hot air that surrounded us in the sea of dancing people.

I suddenly felt the urge to kiss him.

Oh, god, how I wanted to.

His lips looked so luscious and plump.

My heart pitter-pattered against my chest once more, but alarms were ringing off in my ears.

No, this was wrong. I barely knew him!

I gasped when I came back to my senses, and the rest of the room seemed to be coming back into view.

He looked at me with concerned eyes when I freed myself from him and ran out of the club.

I stopped running when I came to the edge of the parking lot. My hands shook as I struggled to flip open my cigarette pack and light one in my mouth.

Tears ran down my face, and I just fell to the ground in my utter patheticness. I hung my head in my hands, and enjoyed the cool air as it passed me.

"How am I going to face Jordan now?" I sobbed to myself.

I looked up at the sky and noticed the moon was insanely bright against the dark clouds. The light illuminated the dark cement, making it look like the ground was wet.

"Then, don't," a voice spoke behind me.

My head snapped back to see him standing there, his body completely still. His Adam's apple bobbed when he swallowed, and his eyes wavered as he studied me.

"What?" I croaked out.

I shook my head.

He didn't understand. Why would he? He didn't know me. He didn't know anything about me.

"No. I can't."

He walked around me to crouch in front of my sitting body. His hand reached out to wipe my tears away, but I backed away from his touch.
