Chapter 39

~Marcus POV~ 

I was on the bed thinking about everything. I feel so torn about everything. I really like Maya but I can't have her since Zoe threatened me if I ever tried anything with her. Even though I don't know Maya very well, I feel like I could tell her anything and we have a special connection with each other.  I was just lying down on the bed when I heard something hit the wall downstairs, I raced downstairs to see what it was and I saw Maya with tears coming down my heart broke. I raced over to her and asked

Marcus- What's wrong?

Maya- I'm fine

Then she just walked away. I walked over to her phone and saw messages from an unknown number.

Unknown- I guess I got to finish the job I started. Stay away from Marcus, he's mine. See you soon xx

Someone's after her because of me. How is it possible? What job? Who is claiming me? I felt dizzy so I had to sit down when I thought Maya is in danger.

Maya- Well, you can't do much since you're stuck in the shadows and the police are still on the hunt for you. So come see me face to face instead of hiding behind a phone and making threats.

What does Maya mean the police are after this mystery person and she knows this person. Has this happened before? I walked down the stairs where Maya went and went through the door and I saw Maya there pulling clothes out of the draws and putting them in a bag. I rushed over to her and said.

Marcus- What are you doing?

She continued grabbing clothes and putting them in a bag

Maya- I'm packing.

Marcus- For what?

Maya- Go to Zoe you will be better off there.

I grabbed her hand so she would stop packing

Marcus- I cant go to Zoe and I am not leaving you.

Maya- Marcus, it is for your own good if you leave it alone, please.

Marcus- No, I'm not leaving you again. I just can't leave you.
