Chloe’s POV

The sound of hair dryer is what woke me up today. After my encounter with Mason last night in the kitchen, I had trouble sleeping. I fell asleep at around 5 in the morning. I can’t wait to ask Andy why that idiot thinks he is living in their house.

I sat up on the bed and saw Andy all dressed up and fixing her hair. What caught my attention is the backpack on her side.

“You going somewhere?” I asked.

“Hey, Sorry if I woke you up.” she greeted me with a smile. “I told you yesterday that we’re going to my grandparents’ for the weekend.”

She did tell me that, which means, I’m stuck with that idiot for the whole weekend!

“Oh yeah, hey, I’ve been meaning to ask you… why does Mason thinks he lives here?”

She puts down the hair dryer and combed her hair while answering me. “Uhm… it’s because he is. They just moved in a week ago.”

“He and his father.”

“Because he’s soon-to-be my step brother.” she said. “His father just proposed to my mom which is the reason why we’re going to my grandparents, Rob wants to ask their permission to marry my mom.”

Oh… now I see.

We heard a light knock on the door and Rob, well the mayor, sticks his head in.

“Andrea, you’re mother wants to know if you’re ready?” he asked. When he saw me, he gave me a smile.

“Yeah, I’ll be down in a second.”

“I’ll take your bag to the car.” He said.

“Thank you.” Andy nodded in answer.

“Chloe dear, feel free to feel at home okay? We’ll be back Sunday afternoon.” Andy’s mum said and smiled at me. She looks a lot like Andy, only the older version of her.

“Keep an eye on my boy will you? Don’t hesitate to call us if there’s trouble.” Rob said and gave me a piece of paper.

“Well, hope you have a great weekend!” Andy said and hugged me.

After bidding goodbye to the family, I went back upstairs to Andy’s room. Now is a nice time to catch up on some sleep.

I feel something tickling my nose. I scratched my nose then it was gone, then it’s back again. I’m getting frustrated and annoyed. It felt like a feather.

“Blondie, wakey, wakey.” he said. I groaned. Ugh! What is it with him and sleeping? He always finds ways to disturb my slumber.

“Go away.” I said and covered my face with a pillow.

“Come on! Get your lazy bum up and let’s go!”

“Leave me alone.” I said, my voice muffled by the pillow.

A few minutes passed and it was pure silence. Oh, thank god he left me alone, just when I was about to fall asleep again loud music started playing real loud in the room, the blanket I was using to cover myself is pulled away from me and the curtains, wide open letting the sunlight shine through.

“I’m not taking no for an answer!” he yelled.

That bloody idiot is really determined to take me with him, wherever he’s going. So I sat up the bed, eyes half closed and went straight to the bathroom. I splashed some water in my face, brushed my teeth and went back to the room. When I got out, Mason is laying across the bed humming to himself. The music’s gone and the curtains are drawn back.
