[the actual fucking sass here ^]

"I swear I completely forgot about that." I said, wiping away the tears that had escaped.

"I'm not surprised, it was the first time we got drunk at your Aunts house." Mitch said, trying to catch his breath.

I stopped and put my hands on my knees, unable to keep walking while laughing so hard.

"Peter cried, and I just puked over the side of the deck." He finished telling the story.

Reminiscing about one of the best summers I ever had was one thing I hadn't done in awhile, and Mitch reminded me of a funny story from the beginning of that summer.

Mitch was a lot like a brother to me. So much like a brother that we fought almost more than we got along. He loved me, and I loved him. But he was so protective of me that he would forget that he was only a little over a year older than me. We had good times, but they were overshadowed by all the crap that happened in my life. He saw me in some of the lowest days of my life. I will never forget how he looked at me, and I know he never wants to see me that low again, so he tries to prevent anyone doing that to me again. It's all love, but sometimes it gets to be overwhelming.

It was nice to laugh with him.

"Hey Finley. Hey Mitch." Britt, another ice girl, waved over at us.

I waved kindly, but Mitch ignored her.

"Be nice." I elbowed him lightly.

"She's trouble." He shook his head.

I rolled my eyes. "I think it's funny how you guys feel about ice girls, and yet you signed me up to be one."

"You have respect for boundaries. She does not. She tried breaking up a couple of the guys on the team relationship's. And it's not all of them, but we've had more that cause problems than ones that just come in and do their job."

"I'll just have to take your word for it, because I haven't seen anything like that." I shrugged.

"Good. Alright, so you know the plan then?" Mitch said, stopping as we were outside his locker room.

"Steph is going to take me home right after the game to change, and we're just meeting you at the club." I recited what Mitch had told me at least 20 times today alone.

"Perfect. Be safe out there." He hugged me.

"Good luck. Score some goals, will ya?" I laughed.

"Okay mom." he rolled his eyes, pulling away from me.

I shook my head as I headed towards my own locker room.

Passing by the visitors locker room, I bumped into a tall figure. Or rather he bumped into me.

"I am so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." The guy said, and recognition made me freeze up. "Hey, you're Finley right?"

A smile spread across my lips, and I remembered how to breathe and speak. "Yes. And you're Alex Pietrangelo."

"It's nice to meet you. Naz said you were hot, but I think gorgeous is a better word." He smiled at me.
