Have you ever stopped to notice
the butterflies this time of year?
They swarm around in magnetic fields
and I...forget my troubles for a while. The grass feels cool and wet beneath my feet
as the sun gently warms my face
On Riverside there's always magic
in Oklahoma in the summer time.So I take a sip-
a sip of my beer
And I forget-I forget where I am
so I light another cigarette
then I turn my face towards the wind
I hear a familiar voice
From somewhere down below
I recognize her face
-and I greet her with a smile.Have you ever stopped to notice
how children seem to play?
Just in streams of primary colors
chaotic balls of energy. So I sit here, on a park bench
for a while
and I take it in from afar
On Riverside there's always magic
in Oklahoma in the summer timeSo I take a sip
a sip of my beer
and I forget-where I am
So I light another cigarette
and I start to pretend
I hear a familiar voice from somewhere
down below
I recognize her face
and I greet her with a smile.
