28 . I only needed a light

When words remain unspoken and emotions are left unexpressed, just a sparkle in the eyes of otherness can inflame the mind and rouse a shower of empathy.

A conniving twinkle or an impelling glitter in the eyes can turn into a glow that takes people to the magic of life.

In a time of communal disintegration, people suffer from social deafness. Their emotional insensitivity being caused by a redoubtable "tin ear" makes it impossible to hear any signs of empathy or capture the vibrant qualities of 'sharing'.

When we feel related with our environment we are able to develop and improve the quality of our involvement, since connectedness and concern are remedies against ignorance and envy.

In view of finding some relief from their discomfort and lack of social "sharedness", many stay glued to their smartphones and remain addicted to the illusionary avalanche of images and sounds.

People who only need a light may have got lost in the jungle of their surroundings and just need a glint of attachment.
