PHOSPHENES (n.) - the stars and colors you see when you rub your eyes.
The strings of her heart vibrated while her eyes were canning his board back. The thick scars that even kissed the ends of his hips and the back of his neck were making her feel uncomfortable sadness. Although he wasn't the male Wolf she wanted, he still was a living being who suffered.
That was the thing with Amaya.
If there was a lost puppy, she would give all of her money just to save it.
Because he was snappy at her, she had decided to act nonchalantly, and ignore him as much as she was able to – and she didn't want him to see what effect he had on her. Surely, he'd find a way to use her emotions against her.
When she finally tore off her gaze from his back, Amaya walked to the two-door fridge and opened it, shining herself with its lights. It wasn't surprising when she saw how the fridge was filled with food, half-made food, and deserts. As soon as she saw chocolate cake filled with bananas, she cut a slim piece of it and placed it on the black plate.
If she didn't know he was blind, she would have thought that she felt him observing her – which he probably was, but only by listening to the way she moved and the things she touched.
Amaya sat at the opposite side of kitchen's island on the stool by placing folded leg underneath her. The weird ways of sitting were the best ways for her to feel relaxed and as if she was home.
Her mother found her once laying with feet on the wall and head over the side of the bed. Not to mention her mother would've found her every night sneaking for a couple of bites of sweets in the fridge. Luckily for her own sake, Amaya was carrying the pup, so no one ever dared to really scoff at the pregnant female Wolf.
