Today's Saturday and I wake up late to the sound of my mum yelling at me to get up  and the smell of fresh breakfast. I stretch and get out of bed and hop into the bathroom to get myself refreshed. I brush my teeth and wash my face and dry myself. I put my hair in a messy bun and leave the room.

Last night, I returned home a bit after ten. We stayed at the park and just talked. Half of them were falling asleep at the park, so we had to part ways and go home.

I enter the kitchen and hug my mum and dad. "Where's Sam?" I ask.

Mum tsks and says, "Rose, can you wake your brother up? I swear I've tried waking him up so many times but he won't budge."

"I just came downstairs," I whine. But one look from my mother makes me go back upstairs to wake Sam up, and my dad laughs until my mum scolds him too. I run back upstairs, knock on the door and open it.

The curtains are pulled back and the sunshine is lighting up the room. I move towards Sam, asleep like the dead on the bed, and shake him not so gently. He stirs a bit but doesn't open his eyes.

"Sam," I hiss. "Wake up!" I shake him by his shoulder again but he doesn't move one bit. I huff and turn the lights on and take off his blanket. He wakes up when it's cold and he's not wearing a shirt. If he can feel anything.

He stirs again and reaches for the blanket. I move the blanket away from him and hiss again for him to wake the hell up. "Sam," I start when I know he can hear me, "if you don't wake up, I'll eat your breakfast too."

He sits up instantly, making me smile in triumph. "What do you want?" He says groggily, rubbing his eyes.

"It's breakfast time," I say, "get up." I let the blanket go and it falls back on the foot of the bed. Sam gets off the bed and walks towards his wardrobe and gets a tshirt and pulls it over his head. "When did you sleep last night?"
