Lester's first day back to work mostly involved contacting all his clients to inform them that he would once more be handling their accounts. Most accepted the news with a simple "Okay." as though they didn't really care one way or the other who their rep was. Some, to his surprise, were glad to have him back and voiced displeasure over the way Lars handle business. The rest of the day consisted of establishing new relationships with Lars' client list. A process which turned out to be easier than expected with most of the ones he talked to also voicing a distaste to dealing with Lars. Lester found pleasure in taking over the workload of his would be friend and betrayer. He wouldn't complain though because it made his work day all the more easy to slog through. By the time the day came to a close he felt pretty good about himself. Whatever Lars had been doing put him at an advantage with all his contacts.

He wrapped up the day with a little light paperwork then logged everything out, grabbed his things, and walked out of the building with several others. On the way out he decided to hit the bar to celebrate. A quick bus trip later he walked in and took a seat at a table in the back.

"Hey Lester, how's it going?" Miranda asked placing a coaster on his table.

"Much better than the last time I saw you."

"What can I get you?"

"I'll just have a beer for now, thanks."

She stepped away for a minute then returned with the beer. "Did you get whatever was going on between you and my boyfriend straightened out?"

"Yeah, absolutely. He's extorting me for half my salary and if I don't pay he'll and some goons around to beat the money out of me."

"That sounds like him to me."

"Doesn't it though?" Lester said sarcastically.

"Flag me down if you decide you want something else. It's going to get busy in here pretty soon."She said before walking away to serve a couple who just came in.

Lester sipped his beer quietly and just enjoyed the music blasting through the jukebox. Someone has made some excellent song choices tonight. He thought.

Jackie had not left her apartment unarmed since the explosion. Taking a weapon to work made her extremely uncomfortable, but she was now living with a target on her back. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. Any time she so much as saw someone out of the corner of her eye or walk by she instinctive reached into her purse. She came very close to blowing away her supervisor when he tapped her on the shoulder from behind.

"Hey Jackie can we talk for a minute?" He asked.

"Sure, what to you need Luis?"

"I can't help but notice you seem a little jumpy lately. He said.

"Someone blew up my car Luis. Something like that tends to put a girl on edge."

"I know, I know, but it's starting to effect you numbers and we can't have your performance falling too far behind."

"Seriously? You're worried about my numbers. Are you out your damn mind? Someone tried to kill me Luis. Of course it's effecting my performance. It would be unusual for me to not be on edge."

"I'm sure you're just being dramatic."

"They found traces of explosives and a complex detonation system in the wreckage."

"How do you know it was meant for you?"

"Who else would it be for? It was my damn car."

"Just don't let it impact your work too much more. I don't want to let you go but if you fall much further I will have to."
