"You are being needy." I sighed.

"No I'm not." Auston said, I could hear the frown in his tone.

I ran my fingers through his hair, as his head rested on my stomach. We were laying in my bed on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The boys were leaving for their first road trip, and I could tell it was bothering Auston.

Mitch was doing his best to ignore Auston and I's....well whatever we were. We were almost always together, or were at least always in communication. It had been a couple weeks since I had moved here, and even though the boys had been to road games, this was the first time they were going to be gone for close to a week. I didn't now how to feel about it, but I was trying to just tell myself that this was going to be my new normal.

"I'm not saying it's a bad thing. You're just being needy." I explained.

"I hate packing. And I don't feel like being in a hotel." He whined.

"You'll be fine. Don't you get to room with Mitch?"

"It's not as great as it sounds. I'd rather room with you." I couldn't see it, but I could tell he was smiling.

"Like you haven't already been doing that." I laughed.

"Yeah, and I've been getting fantastic sleep, and now I'm not gonna." He pouted once more.

"Cheer up Matts. You'll be fine. You'll be back before you know it. And besides, you act like you're the only one that's going to be missing someone."

"I know, I have to listen to Mitch whine about Steph the whole time."

I scoffed, and pulled a piece of Auston's hair, before crossing my arms over my chest.

He rolled over to face me.

"I don't want to think about you missing me. Because that would just make it harder." He explained.

"I never said it was me." I said, trying to hide my grin.

"Good. Now can you go back to playing with my hair? Because I actually really like it." He said, turning back over.

I rolled my eyes, and ran my hands back through his hair, and I could feel him relax again.

I was really gonna miss him.

I hadn't done yoga in a while, and I could tell. My muscles were sore, but I continued with my workout anyways.

It was past midnight, and I couldn't sleep. Steph and I had stayed up to watch the boys play, and the game was so exciting. They went into to overtime, and Mitch scored the game winner. I was more than invested in these guys, and it was exciting to see them do so well.

I had my yoga mat down and my MacBook open in front of me watching a yoga video. I was in a sun salutation when a FaceTime request popped up on my screen. I smiled widely as I saw who the call was from.

I pressed accept, and waited to see his face on the screen.

"Hey...whoa hey there. What did I interrupt?" A wicked smile crossed Auston's face.
