Dai
"Bonjour belle," Cheyenne smiled at her as she skipped to their cabin.
Dai didn't know what it meant, but she guessed that it was French. And she was too distracted by Cheyenne's smile.
"Hey, lovebird? Whatcha thinkin' 'bout?" Lottie quirked, folding her arms across her chest, a smirk danced across her features. Dai rolled her eyes.
"Nothing new," she sighed, suddenly being interrupted by a small ginger chasing a boy just a little taller than Dai, who's 6'4", who was laughing.
"I got myself just a little bit of love, that I wanna spend, on you!" he sang, running past them. He winked at them, followed by finger guns. Lottie sneered at him. "Stupid octopus! Take it back!" someone snipped chasing him.
"Oh no! The wildcat has found my hiding place!"
A boy who looked like Cheyenne jumped on his back. "You look like a clown!" the younger boy sang.
Dai looked at Lottie, who shrugged. "Hey, shortie. Mind introducing you and your boyfriend to Dai?" she chuckled. The younger boy looked her over.
"Hey," the older boy whined, "Joey! Stop looking at her like that!" Joshua smirked at his boyfriend. "Jealous, are we now?" he snickered. His boyfriend blushed.
"N-no!"
"Mm-hm!" he hummed. The older boy quickly picked up Joshua in one swift move.
Joshua shrieked, gripping onto the older boy's shirt, hiding his face in the crook of his neck. "Now who's the one that looks like a clown?" he asked.
Dai spoke up. "Still you!" she sang childishly. The older boy looked at her. "Hey! Dai, how's it going with you and that ginger girl? Cheyenne?" he asked. Dai shrugged. "Meh, nothing much Bailey. How about you and Joey? You are using protection, right?" she stressed the words individually, playful looks danced into her and Lottie's eyes. Bailey turned a dark crimson colour.
"Y-yeah." he stuttered, finding much more interest in the ground. Dai burst into laughter. "Oh, man! Yo-your face! So you and Joey are doing the deed!" Lottie interrupted by muttering her, "Bettcha my lunch that Bailey tops,"
Dai snorted, instantly covering her mouth in embarrassment. Bailey looked at her with a raised brow.
"Not a word," she warned. He shrugged. Joshua took his head out of the crook of Bailey's neck. "This coming from the girl that is too chicken to ask out my sister!!" he pipped up. Dai groaned, covering her face. Lottie stood off to the side, talking to Miriam about Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, The Maze Runner, and Trials of Apollo.
Dai smiled, knowing that she was surrounded by people she could trust.
But not with your problems, her thoughts interrupted, Who would really stay friends with a weak freak like you?
No one.
Exactly, so why do you even try?
Because...
What? That they might actually care about you?
No...
Then stop lying to yourself.
But... I care about them, even if they don't care about me...
Her thoughts bounced around inside of her mind. The smile remained in place, but her eyes held the broken truth.
You can't trust anyone!
Yes, I can! Leave me alone!
Not if you don't want to be hurt!
Shut up and leave me alone!
