"Clary, that's not what I want," I defend myself. "I want us to be friends. I'm telling you, Kaelie made me say those things to you. I don't think any of them are true. Kaelie may be hot, sexy, tall, and fully developed, but she isn't you. You're my person. The one I tell my deepest painfullest secrets to. Please don't tell me I lost my person," I beg.

"Jace....you didn't lose me. I....I'm right here," Clary quietly replies. She takes my hand in hers as we sit on my bed.

"I swear Kaelie doesn't mean anything to me, not like you do. She doesn't know about Chloe, that's why I was pathetically pleading for you to change the end or your sentence earlier. You're the only one, Clary," I try to explain further.

"Jace, let's just start over, okay," Clary offers and puts her hand out. "Hi, my name is Clary Fray. I have trust issues, and most people think I'm weird. It's nice to meet you."

I put my hand out and shake hers. "Hello, my name is Jace Herondale. I have trust issues, and most people think I'm....normal. I'm please to meet you," I reply with a smile.

"Okay, now we should stop being so mopey and have some fun. How about we go to this park by the beach?" Clary asks me.

"Uh, I'll have to check on with my mom, but I'd like that," I reply. Should I really ask my mom to watch Willow for longer? I don't want to be irresponsible.

"How about we take Willow with. She's so adorable, and it would give your mom a nice break," Clary suggests. This woman! She wants to take Willow! Yes!

"This is why you're my person! I love that idea. Let me go check in with my mom and get Willow," I reply excitedly. Clary smiles at me.

I practically run down the stairs. "Mom, it would be okay with you if Clary, Willow, and I go and hang at a park, right?" I confirm.

"Of course hon," my mom confirms. I pick up Willow and we go to my room. I set Willow on my bed.

"My mom said yes," I reply. "I've got to get Willow's coat, winter stuff, care bag, and stroller. I'll be back again."

I go to pick Willow up, "Jace, I think I can watch Willow for 2 minutes while you get her stuff," Clary comments.

"Are you sure? I don't mind?" I question.

"Jace, go, Willow and I will mange in your absence," Clary jokes. I head to Willow's room. Her stroller is in the corner, along with her coat and winter gear. I quickly grab two new outfits, some cheerios, other food like that, a container of wipes, a blanket, and her sippy cup. As I'm approaching my room, I hear laughing. I stand by the door and listen to Willow and Clary. It seems as though they're playing peekaboo. I lean in the doorframe. They're getting along swimmingly! This will make it immensely easier when I tell her about Willow! Maybe she won't leave us! I decide to make my presence known.

"How are my two favorite gals doing?" I ask.

"We were having some fun, weren't we Willow," Clary coos.

"Dada, Cary and baba fun," Willow agrees. ("Dad, Clary and I were having fun.") Clary picks up Willow and we get her in winter gear.

I pack everything in the van, and we're off. We get to the park after a few minutes. I get Willow in her stroller, and we proceed to walk towards the park.

"Dada, Cary, and baba pyay in the swng?" Willow asks. ("Can we play with the swing?")

I look at Clary. "Sure," Clary replies with a smile. We walk over to the swing, and then Clary asks the one question I wasn't ready for. "Why does Willow call you dada?" Clary nervously questions. "Y...you don't have to tell me."

"No, it's okay." Don't lie to her! But, she can't know it all, but yet. "My....father left us shortly after Willow was born. I...it was my fault he left. Well, Lilith's and mine. I...I did something, something that has to do with my past. I.....I don't want to talk about it, not now. Anyways, he cheated on my mom with Lilith, and then I did my....thing. He just left us. Willow calls me dad because," I am her dad! "I always help my mom take care of her." You should be ashamed to lie like that to her! "Th....there's something else, but I....I can't."

"Okay, thank you for mostly answering me," Clary smiles. Willow wants out, so we decide to have some fun. We play with and chase eachother around for an hour or so. It's almost like tag, except Clary and Willow keep teaming up against me. We're all laughing like crazy, and it's the most fun I've had in a lone time. Suddently, Clary is coming from one side and Willow from the other. They both hit me at the same time and somehow they mange to land on top of me as I'm knocked over. Quickly, I make sure Willow is okay. I check her head, but she seems unphased. Clary is laying on the right side of my chest and breathing heavily.

"Clary, we'd better get going. It's getting late and too cold for Willow to be out," I begin. "I had a lot of fun with you today."

"I had a lot of fun too! Maybe we can do this again sometime!" Clary excitedly exclaims.

"I'd like that," I smile. We all get in the car and go home.
