Ava, Trixie and Leah waited that night for Delilah to stop playing her little stupid joke and to come home. Trixie had to go to the nursery and get some powdered milk so that Louie could go to sleep. Once he was done eating she put him in a crib that nurse Rosemary brought before she left for the night. While Trixie put Lou to sleep she fell asleep with him. Leah was in her hospital bed and she soon fell asleep too. Ava didn't get much sleep because she wanted to slap and yell at Delilah for making everyone so worried, but then the hospital got very quite and dark and everybody else was sound asleep. Ava gently shut her eyes and fell asleep also.
Leah woke up to the sound of a knock. "Hey sorry if I woke y'all, but I just came in to give Leah her discharge papers. After you sign the papers you can go home Leah... Okay well I be on my way now." Nurse Rosemary said as she put the discharge papers on the nightstand next to the bed with a pen and left the room.
Leah rubbed her eyes and grabbed the papers. She looked around the room for her sister and only saw Ava, Trixie, and Lou. Leah felt sad and she knew her sister was in trouble. She grabbed the pen and signed the discharge papers. Leah got up and grabbed her clothes and went to the restroom to get dressed. Ava woke up to the sound of Leah turning the shower on.
"Hey Trixie can you get my shampoo and conditioner out of my bag and bring it to me please?" Leah yelled over the sound of the shower.
"Yeah, but shut up your gonna wake Lou." Trixie said as she got up from the floor.
"Waaahaaaaa!" Lou cried
Leah laughed, "Too late."
Trixie rushed to Leah's bag and searched. She finally found the shampoo and conditioner and opened the bathroom door. "Here." she said as she sat them on the sink counter.
"Wait can you hand them to me please?" Leah asked in a begging voice.
Trixie went to crying Lou and told Leah, "Your baby nephew is crying, so I think you can handle getting them yourself."
Ava got up and went to the restroom and gave the shampoo and conditioner to Leah. "We need to hurry and get dressed, so we can go to the police station. We need to fill out a missing person's report. So lets get ready. Oh and Trixie." Ava told Leah and Trixie.
Trixie looked at Ava, "Yeah?"
"Get Lou dressed I'm going to give these papers to the nurse." Ava replied.
Trixie looked down and gave Ava a nod. Leah got out of the shower and started to get dressed while Trixie got dressed herself. When Trixie was done she got Lou dressed and grabbed all her stuff and was ready to go. Ava came back to gather everyone and they all got into Ava's mini van. They were on there way to the police station.
Ava drove into the handicap spot and she flew out of the car and ran into the police station. Leah told Trixie to get out and take Lou with her so she could go park into a non-handicapped spot. Leah put the car in reverse and went to find a parking spot. Leah found a spot and walked through the door. She found her way through the croud and saw Ava yelling at the clerk working at the desk.
"Do your job and help me find my daughter. You know what I'll have your job. I'm gonna sue y'all for not helping with a real case!" Ava yelled as everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at Ava.
Trixie grabbed Ava back. "I want to talk to..." Trixie said as she began to read her hand.
"I want to talk to officer Zack." Trixie demanded to the clerk worker.
The clerk worker looked at Trixie and did some things on her computer and then told Trixie, "He's at lunch right now, but he will be back in about 20 minutes, so if you could take this form and fill it out while you wait in the waiting room. Thanks." the clerk said in one of those nasty voices. The voice in which you would just want to punch the crap out of someone who uses that voice.
Trixie grabbed the form and used the voice that the clerk woman used. "Thanks Mr. Stevens." Trixie said as she looked at her nametag. Ava grabbed Trixie's arm and pulled it to the waiting room. Ava put her hand in the air. "You go girl!" Ava said as Trixie high fived her.
"Hello ladies Stevens said you asked for me personally." Zack said as he walked into the waiting room.
Trixie got up fast and said, "Hey we need your help."
"Yeah what's wrong?" Zack asked as he grabbed Trixie's hand.
Leah and Ava looked at Trixie and Zack, then they looked at each other and grinned, and then looked back at Trixie and Zack. Trixie asked, "Can we go somewhere private?"
Zack looked at her. "Yeah just follow me." Zack said as he pulled Trixie with him.
"Um wait one second." Trixie said as she stopped Zack.
Trixie ran back to the waiting room to see Ava and Leah's faces blank. "Um I'm going to tell him and I'll... we'll be back soon."
Trixie ran back to Zack and Zack began to grab her hand again and showed her all the way to the roof where nobody was. Zack sat down and Trixie did the same. Zack looked into Trixie's eyes and reached for a kiss. Trixie wanted to kiss him, but stopped him before he did, "That's not why I'm here Zack... I do like you. It's ju.." Trixie said as she got cut off by Zack.
"Oh I get it your married right?" Zack said as he felt embarrassed.
"No no it's just you know when you pulled me over last night?" Trixie asked Zack.
Zack stared at Trixie, "Yeah what about it?"
"Well that baby in the backseat was my bestfriend's baby and when I left last night to go to the hospital she wasn't there and she wasn't at her mom's house either." Trixie told Zack as he listened.
"Maybe shes at a friend's house?" Zack asked confused.
Trixie looked at him, "Those people you saw in there with me thats the only people she has well and her husband, but he got called to serve our country."
Zack got up and grabbed Trixie's hand to pull her up as well, "Well let's go find her."
Trixie got up and they walked to the roof door. Zack began to open the door and Trixie pushed the door back closed. Trixie closed her eyes and reached in for a kiss. "Oh now you want a kiss." Zack said in a sarcastic voice.
"Shut up and kiss me." Trixie said.
"Ok." Zack said and reached in for the kiss. After they kissed they made it back to the waiting room to find Delilah's family. Zack led all of them to his office and got to work on Delilah's case.
