A/N: I'm sorry this took forever and a day. I was trying to figure out what I should do for a next part, and a lot of ideas came up. When I saw the tweet about Eugene's birthday, I knew I had to do something with it. This was technically supposed to be out around that time, but you know... shit happens. Thank you guys so much on the support and feedback on the story thus far. I'm up to almost 750 votes on the story so far, and over 30k views. I love you guys! ---

The startup of our relationship couldn't have come at a better time, as Eugene's birthday was fast approaching. He had plenty of friends who wanted to do special stuff with him, but we were also well aware that he'd hate a surprise party. Instead, he took the party into his own hands, and an email was sent out.

Subject: Birthday Party

Yes, I'm throwing my own birthday party, and I don't regret a minute of it - I'd like to spend my birthday surrounded by puppies, so on that day, we can meet at a dog park, and you can bring your pups along. The next day, for those who are interested, I'd love to get a big group of Disneybounders to dress up as characters from some of my favorite Pixar movies. If you're interested in going, let me know, and we can figure out a perfect outfit.
P.S. I call dibs on Russell from Up.

I laughed softly as I read the email. Leave it to Eugene to make his birthday plenty creative. I was sure we'd have our own time, probably doing as we usually did with boba, pizza, and anime. Maybe after a night of alcohol and dancing. But that would come later.

I let the email be, knowing I'd be seeing him soon for lunch. That was something that we made sure to make time for once we got back together. The only exceptions were if we were on an actual time crunch (with a deadline given by our bosses or someone other than ourselves) or one of us was on location somewhere. It happened every now and then, especially with a Try Guys shoot, but otherwise, we did fairly well.

I went to our meeting location once I got food, and gave him a hello kiss. "Got your email earlier, my little goofball," I commented, sitting with him.

"Figured I had to be unique, and who better to throw me the perfect birthday party than me?" he joked.

I laughed softly at that. It was true. "Well, you know I'll be there, both days. Don't have a dog, but I'm kinda Pesto and Emma's stepmom? If that counts?"

"Stepmom, huh?" he teased, grinning at me. I was still adjusting to the facial hair he decided to try out and didn't know how to feel about it. But he seemed to enjoy it for the moment.
