"Chase, what are you doing? Do you really think it's a good idea to let a total stranger into our very private home?" Leo had a point, Marcus could find out. I mean Leo found out about us within an hour of moving in by trying to find a bathroom. But it's not like we're going to let Marcus roam around.

"That's okay, guys. We don't have to jam. Not everyone needs a bright spot in their otherwise horrible life." Marcus' voice cracked and he looked and sounded like he was about to cry.

"Look Leo, you're making him feel bad." I glared at Leo.

"Don't worry, Marcus. We'll practice at our place later. Come on over." Chase invited him.

"Great. See you guys after school."

"You guys are making a big mistake. I mean, you've only been in the real world for a little while. There's still a lot of stuff you don't know." Leo informed us.

"Look, Leo, I'm not gonna run my play dates past you. Hel-lo! Genius!"

"What you have is book smarts. I have street smarts. And I've gotta watch what's happening on the street."

"Oh, Leo! Relax! We are not going to be playing in the street. We're going to be playing in the house." Adam moved Leo in my direction and whispered to Chase, "This Guy."

I decided I need to make friends, being Ella and Jenelle are my only friends not related to me. Jenelle is a Freshman while I'm still in Middle School and Ella.... is Ella. So when I got home I changed from my purple skirt and pink top to black leggings and white flowered top with a jacket.

"See you, Adam, Chase, Marcus, and Leo behind Marcus. I'm going to the park." And with that I left. When I got there there was a group of little kids, a high schooler smoking a cigarette, a little girl a couple years younger than me, and a man with spiked hair. The man seemed to be having a very bad conversation cause he was pissed. But I caught a couple words that made me freeze in my tracks.

"I don't care Ella! You're mad at them just as I am!"
Pause
Pause
"Grow a spine! You got left!" He noticed me staring and quickly hung up.

"Sorry, it's just you said my friends name." He just continued staring, like I was a ghost.

"I'm Willow Davenport." He whispered my name. I glanced around to see if there was a white van. None in sight. When I looked back at the strange man was gone and a feeling of familiarity settled in my stomach at his appearance. Deciding friends were overrated I quickly walked back home. Who was this man? Why did he seem familiar? Why was I a ghost of his past?

I opened the door just in time to see Marcus hold his guitar over his head and bring it down on the floor.

"What is wrong with you? Why would you break your guitar?" Leo asked. Marcus shoved the guitar in Leo's hands just as Chase and Adam entered the room.

"What is wrong with you?! Why would he break my guitar?!" My eyes widened.

"No! He— not— uh— Ohh."

"Leo, why would you break his guitar?" Chase asked.

"But he didn't." I aided Leo.

"No. No. No. Thats what he wants you to think. He broke it and gave it to me. He's the breaker I'm the breakee. Ask Willow, she saw." Leo protested and I nodded in agreement.

"That is crazy! Why would I break my own guitar?" Marcus snatched his guitar back.

"Look, Leo, Willow, I want to believe you, I really would, but you do break things all the time." Chase and Adam walked up to us.
