I can't be the only one who notices that her chest doesn't even move under the teacher’s muscles. She is made of stone, dead as a rock, and there is no way anyone is going to save her, that much is for sure I think.

"There isn't any service in here!" Someone cries.

"I don't have service either!"

"Me neither!" People shout.

I stand still and look down at my phone uselessly. No bars. Something is really wrong and I can feel it. Miss. Sanders is still staring at the ceiling with vacant eyes. And there is something about the way she lies that makes it look like she was never alive to begin with.

"Kat..." Sam one says tugging on my sleeve.

I look down at her and I can see she is afraid. Her big brown doe eyes are watering but she is trying to look brave.

"What do we do?" I ask quietly.

But before she can answer to girls come running back into the room. I recognize them as the ones the teacher had sent out to wait for the ambulance a minute or so ago. Their faces are pale, and fear grabs hold of me again.

"Mrs. Caister there isn't a door to go out!" One of them cries.

"What do you mean there is no door?" She demands.

"We went back the way we came but there is just a huge wall there, no door! We tried to feel for a door handle but there isn't one! What do we do!?" The girl asks frantically flailing her arms around.

"Everyone just stay calm. We will go back together and look for the door. You must have just taken a wrong turn, that's all. Everyone else look around and try to get some cell signal to call for an ambulance."

And then she stood and walked from the room leaving everyone to panic.

Thankfully everyone already got everything out of their system. Most of the people were sitting down with their heads between their knees while a few others were wandering around looking for a signal. My new group of friends were all huddled together and Sam two is rustling around in her bag.

"What do we do now guys?" I ask quietly.

"We stay calm and help everyone else stay calm." Sam two says.

"Guys..." Aidan says quietly.

"What do you have in the bag?" Sam one asks as she comes over to us.

"Guys..." Aidan says a little more loudly.

"A flashlight, some granola bars, a pocket knife that belongs to Adam- that's Sam’s twin brother by the way." She winks, "There is some rope in there for who knows what reason and a pack of-"

"Guys!" Aidan screams.

Our heads snap in his direction and we follow his gaze just in time to see the two gargoyles rip from the wall in unison. The stone slabs they were standing on tumble to the ground in an ear shattering crash that leaves a large dent in the old wood flooring.

Their stone wings flare out from behind them and they let loose an inhuman scream as they descend on the students. I watch in horror as the stone giants move gracefully in the air despite the fact that they must way at least a ton.

Students scream and scramble for doors and hallways trying to get away from the beasts. Someone grabs me from behind and pulls me beneath a large coffee table along with Sam one and two and Quinn.

John and Felicia leave us behind and both head for different hallways trying to keep away from the howling monsters that soar through the air grabbing at students with large talon like claws that are too stupid to move out of the way.

I look to my friends trying to figure out what's going through their heads. Aidan is tense in against the wall with his eyes closed, and Sam One and Two are crouched in front of him looking ready to spring into action at any second.

Sam Two has the pocket knife in her hand, but I don't know how well it will do against the stone creatures.

Quinn has her phone out and she is leaning out slightly trying to get a picture of the action. After a few seconds the screaming and the howling die down and silence roars through me ears.

"Is it safe to come out yet?" I ask nudging Quinn slightly with my foot.

"Yeah," She says quietly, "They flew off down the hallway after some students."

We scramble out from under the table and look at the carnage. Back packs and cellphones are lying all over the floor and there are massive claw marks raked down the walls and across the floor. Thankfully there isn't any blood, but that didn't mean the monsters hadn't gotten any of the students.

"How long do you think we have until they come back?" Sam One asks.

"I don't know. Once they corner the students they're after I'm sure they will come back." Sam Two ways. The look on her face is very grave.

"Well we know there isn't a way out of this place that we can find right now. So what do we do?" I ask looking around with the small hope that there will be a door leading out of this mess.

"One thing we can't do is stand around here." Quinn states.

"She's right, those things are going to come back eventually, and we don't want to be here when they do." Sam Two says.

"Which way did they go?" Aidan asks Quinn.

"One went down that hallways," She points to the one that the group of students had come from. Then she turned clockwise and pointed down a long dark corridor. "And the other one chased a few people down there."

"Alright so lets take that hallway." I suggest pointing to the only hallway that the monsters hadn't gone down.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Sam Two said throwing her bag over her shoulder.

"Wait guys, what if it is just another dead end? Then we will have to come back through here where the beasts will be." Aidan says.

I can tell just how panicked he is.

"We don't have any other choice. It's either wait here for them to come back and eat us, or go on ahead and hope we find a way out." Sam Two says.

I am starting to think she is the leader of this group.

"Fine..." He says after a moment.

"Let's hurry then, but try not to make too much noise." Sam says as she leads us off.

"Hold on a minute students," A cold lifeless voice stops us dead in our tracks, "You can't leave yet. My Master will be here in a moment to see you."

All our head whipped to the side at once to see Miss. Sanders standing up once again, seemingly back from the dead.
