Ebony:

“Ebony, I thought you told them!”  He says, after we both got dressed again.

“Yeah, well, I’m sorry!  I didn’t want them to ruin everything!”  I look at him, and he looks mad.

“You lied to be, Ebony.  That could ruin our relationship!”  I look down at the floor, tears falling from my eyes, I wipe them quickly so he doesn’t see.  “But, I don’t want to end it.  We’ve come so far, and this is the farthest I’ve ever come with a girl.  I usually get tired of them after a few months, but you’ve been different.  And, I love you.  I actually love you, unlike the others”  He pulls me into a hug, and I fall back with him on the bed, I lay right next to him without any space between us.

“Do you think,”  I turn to look at him.  “Do you think we could forget about this?”  He turns to look at me.

“Are you gonna tell your friends?”

“I don’t know, maybe?”  I shrug.  “I just need some time, okay?”

“But I think that girl is right, you know, the one that just came in here?”

“Sapphire”  I correct.

“Yeah , Sapphire, I think she’s right”  I raise my eyebrows at him.

“What do you mean?”  He sighs.

“Well, I think that since they’re your best friends, you probably should have told them.  You shouldn’t care what they think of it, if they call you a slut or anything, because I don’t think you’re a slut.  And I think we know each other well enough, I mean, we’ve been together for about a year, and I think we’re pretty comfortable with each other!”  He flashes his amazing smile at me.

“I guess you’re both right.  Maybe you can stay for dinner tonight?  We’ll probably just order a pizza or something, but we’ll still all eat at the table.  Does that sound okay?”  He nods his head.

He opens his mouth to say something, but a loud crash cuts him off, followed by Sapphire screaming four letter words, and hysterical laughing, then footsteps up the stairs, making the laughter even louder, then we hear them go up another flight of stairs.  I stand up as soon as I hear Sapphire running up the stairs.

“You should stay here, I’ll hopefully be right back”  He nods his head.

I go out into the hallway, into Sapphire’s way.

“Move, Ebony!”  She says, pushing me away, then heading up the stairs.  Of course, being the Ebony I am, I follow her.

When I get up there, I see Blake and Sapphire chasing Amber and Scarlett and poor Violet is hiding in the corner.  Amber runs past me and I hit her in the back of the head, causing her to fall over.  When she doesn’t get up, Scarlett notices and slowly crawls over to her and lays down next to her.

“I fixed it!”  I yelled to them.  Sapphire looks at me then leaves the room.  Hopefully this will all blow over soon, at least by tonight.  Blake looks at me.

“What’s wrong with her?”  I need an excuse.  Umm….

“She might be on her period of something”  I say.  He rolls his eyes and comes over to Amber and Scarlett.  “What happened to them?”  I say, trying to change the subject.

“Three cans of red bull,”  He says, making sure the two girls are okay.  “Each”

“Why?!”  How?

“I left them alone with twenty dollars, it wasn’t a great idea”

“Clearly!”  I walk over to Violet, who is curled up in a little ball in the corner.  “Violet?”

“Are you sober?”  She responds, before looking at me.

“Yes, I’m sober, are you okay?”  She hugs me, clearly scared for life.

“They had caffeine, and-”  Before she could finish, Amber pushed Scarlett down the stairs, and Blake rushes after them.  That’s his problem.

“Violet, come with me because they broke something downstairs.  Let’s go see what happened”  I pull her up and we walk down the stairs, trying to avoid Blake while he scolds Amber and Scarlett like troublesome toddlers.

At the bottom of the stairs, we can see Sapphire trying to lift something.  Turns out, the two caffeinated girls knocked it off its hinges.

“Sapphire, do you need any help?”  Violet, being the kind-hearted person she is, offers.  Sapphire looks up at her, then to me, and scowls.

“Yes, Violet, I would appreciate it.  As for Ebony, you can go back to your room.  It’s not nice to leave guests”  She says.  Violet looks confused.

“What?”  She says, attempting to lift the heavy door.  We both ignore her.

“Sapphire, he’s staying for dinner.  Be nice.  Jeez, I’ve never seen you like this.  What the hell?”  She scowls at me again.

“Shut up, Ebony.  I don’t want to talk to you right now.  Maybe later”  So, I leave her there with Violet, and go back to my room, and turn on the tv.  Dillon looks happy to see me, but I get on my bed and bury myself under the covers.

“Ebony?”  He asks for me.  “What’s wrong?”

“Stupid girl drama, it’s nothing, I just want to go to sleep until dinner”  And he respects my wishes, and cuddles up next to me, kissing my forehead.

“Well, I hope dinner is better”  He says, then he turns off the light and we don’t even pay attention to the tv that much, because we talk about nothing for the next few hours before it’s time to get ready for dinner.
