I stand in the mirror and look at myself to make sure my outfit wasn't inappropriate or to "Mom-ish"
I was going to my 12 y/o daughter's spring concert. She was in the Choir at her school and she was so excited. She told her deadbeat ass dad but who knows if he's coming. She was already at the school so I grab my purse and my keys and head out.
As soon as I get there it's a little crowded but I make my way to an empty seat next to a lady who looked like she was in her mid-40s.
The kids come on to the stage and everyone claps. I see Kiara, my daughter. She flashes me a quick smile. I give her a thumbs up and lightly clap.
"Awe my baby" I say excitedly to myself.
"Which one is yours?" I turn to the lady who was talking to me.
"The one on the far left" I point to Kiara.
"Awe she's so cute" she giggles.
"Which is yours?" I ask
"Oh I don't have one. She's my granddaughter. Her father should be here in a minute. But there she is. Standing underneath yours" she points to a little girl who wore a nervous smile.
"She's adorable" I laugh.
"Thankyou" She laughs along with me.
Soon they start to sing. And their voices were amazing together. The lady's granddaughter had a cute little solo and her voice was like no other. She had a real singing voice! Half way through the concert a really cute guy walks in and sit on the other side of the lady.
Lord he was gorgeous.
"What I miss?" He asks the lady who I'm guessing was his mom cause they looked just alike.
"Nothing much they just sang one song"
After their instructor lets them leave the stage, Kiara automatically runs up to me.
