Chapter 20

Okay, so night one with sleeping in the same room as my mom: AWKWARD. All I wanted to do was hug her and Dad and cry but if I did that, it'd be awkward for them and then I wouldn't be able to not tell them about me and Mione. This is torture. I wish Harry was here... He's the only one who would understand my feelings right now. I actually started crying randomly one time when Mione and I were by ourselves in our room. She tried her best to comfort me and I appreciate it. "Lizzie, are you okay? You look like you've been crying." Mom said when Mione and I sat at the table that morning.

"Yeah I'm okay." I said grinning. I began to stuff my face to avoid any further questioning. She looked at me in concern. I was so close to just bursting into tears again.

"So what's on today's agenda?" Uncle Padfoot asked as he, Dad, Uncle Moony, and Pettigrew sat down at the table. Mom walked away before Dad could say anything to her. Aw, poor Daddy.

"Class, obviously." Mione said rolling her eyes.

"Mione, Mione, Mione... There's more to life than school." I said shaking my head. She rolled her eyes.

"Let's just wait until we get our schedules." Uncle Moony said smiling.

"Works for me." I said grinning. Dad was looking at me funny. "What?" I asked before I stuffed my face some more. He shook his head.

"It's just that..."

"You look like Evans." Uncle Padfoot finished for him.

"Oh..." Crap I forgot about that... "Um, we're not related, so you don't have to worry about it." I said shrugging like it was no big deal. Maybe we should've used a spell to make me look different, it's not like I'm a Metamorphmagus or anything.

"That's so weird." Dad said shaking his head. "But what am I to judge." He shrugged and went back to eating. Whew, that was a close one.

"You know, 'Evans' has a name you know." Mione spoke up. She was looking at Dad and Uncle Padfoot, scowling a little.

"What?" Dad asked wide-eyed.

"'Evans' has a name. Didn't you hear Mione the first time?" I decided to back Mione up. "Girls don't like it when you call them by their last names like that. It sounds like you're taunting them. It's definitely irritating." I said rolling my eyes. "We would know, since we're girls." He looked speechless.

"Exactly, if you want to get her attention in a positive way, you should start by calling her Lily." Mione said looking at me with gratefulness.

"Also, you shouldn't go around teasing the people she cares about and you should definitely stop asking her out every chance you get. That just adds to her irritation." I said shrugging.

"How do you know I 'tease' the people she cares about and ask her out all the time?" He asked me with narrowed eyes.

"I don't, you just seem like the kind of person that would do that." I said shrugging. Uncle Padfoot laughed here.

"She totally got you, mate." He said nudging Dad in the side, snickering. Dad scowled at Uncle Padfoot and told him to shove off.

"You don't have to take our advice, but we thought we'd just share it with you." Mione said shrugging. He sighed.

"Thanks, I guess." Uncle Moony chuckled.

"I've been trying to tell him that from the beginning, but he always asked me what I know about it." Uncle Moony said grinning. It's so weird seeing Uncle Moony looking this young, I'm not going to lie. I mean, Uncle Moony in my time looks younger every time he smiles and laughs, but this is different. Well, duh Lizzie, he's thirteen right now, so he is going to be younger. Le gasp! I'm a year older than Uncle Moony, Uncle Padfoot, Dad, and Mum right now! Holy cheese!
