"Sorry about that." Madison whispers after sitting in silence with Calum's hand layed over her's.

"Stop apologizing, Mads." He laughs, pinching her hand lightly before removing it completely, disappointing both of them.

"And where did Mads come from?" Madison smiles, putting her elbow on the table and leaning her head on her hand, letting a small yawn escape her lips.

"I don't know. Madison is too long, and I figured most people call you something along the lines of Maddy, so I came up with something else." He says with a small shrug. "Are you tired? What kind of question is that, of course you're tired." Calum rolls his eyes at himself, making Maddy giggle as the both leave the small booth in the corner of the diner.

"It's probably too late to go home now. Can you take me to a hotel? I have money with me." She asks, stepping out into the crisp Australian air. It's fucking Australia, why does it feel like it's only four degrees?

"I'm in to deep, I can't let you stay at a hotel by yourself." Calum declares, shaking his head.

"I've stayed at a hotel by myself before, Cal. I'm eighteen." She informs him as he opens his car door for her. "And if I can't stay in a hotel where do you suggest I go?" She asks once he enter his own side of the car.

"You're coming with me. Back to my flat." Maddy stares at him before snorting.

"You're serious?" She asks after noticing he didn't start laughing. He looks at her, smiling, as he starts the car.

"Yes I'm serious. I don't want you showing up at a hotel at one in the morning. That could be dangerous." He explains, pulling out of the empty parking lot in front of the empty diner.

"Calum, just take me to a hotel."

"You can trust me, you know?" Calum murmurs, glancing over at Maddy before hesitantly placing his hand on her thigh. She looks at it, holding in a gasp of surprise. Calum relaxes once he sees she's not going to say anything about it.

"Fine." She huffs, earning a grin from Calum.
