Chapter 4:
Sunlight shone through my eyelids, making them glow an angry bright red. My eyes fluttered open and I immediately regretted it. The white light shining through my open window blasted me with full force causing a splitting headache to overcome me. I let out a pained half scream as my eyes shut as quickly as they opened. I reached down to pull the sheets over my head as an extra shield between my eyes and that…light. But no matter how far down my bed I reached, I couldn’t feel the satin material of my blanket.
“What the…” I mumble lowly, cracking my eyes open a slit. The light purple wall was a signal to me that I was indeed in my own room; a relief within itself. Slowly but surely, I pulled myself to a sitting position, my muscles aching and screaming in close to blinding pain. But I guess I was kind of used to it now. Hangovers were a pretty casual occurrence for me.
“Ugh,” I give up halfway and allow my muscles to collapse to jelly, my back hitting the soft bed under me. My eyes traveled down my body and it was then that I finally realized I was completely naked, bare for the entire world to see.
“Fuck,” I groan but also chuckling internally at the strange irony of my words.
But wait… no, really, did I bring someone back home last night to fuck? It would explain why everything in my body hurts so freaking bad. The proof was really in the pudding, or rather my room: my own clothes littered on the floor along with my blankets, the condom hanging lazily out of my mini trashcan…
Yeah definitely brought a guy here last night…
And judging by the fact I don’t see any trace of my partner in crime, this lustful act was just a one-night stand…again. As always, as expected.
This empty setting suddenly became all too familiar. Memories from the past returned to me. I tried my hardest to push them away but it was like having a jammed projector stuck between my eyes, forcing me to relive my dreaded past. So what’d I end up doing? I just go with flow, lying on my back and just allow my memories to bubble to surface.
*dream state*
My eyes snapped open quickly as I awoke to a new day. Sunlight peeked through the small opening between the closed curtains, bringing light into the messy room. When my mind brings me back to the events last night, I can’t help but let out a small smile. Last night, last night was amazing. I couldn’t believe I had waited four months to finally let him convince me to do it; I wish we had done it sooner. Last night’s experience rushed to me in full force and I smiled even wider, my body squirming as it feels with a fuzzy warmth. The way we moved against one another in sync, getting to know each other in a new light, it made me feel complete. Having sex with him made me feel complete.
And I just can’t wait to have that feeling again.
“Justin?” my voice comes out hoarse thanks to all the noise I emitted last night. I call out for my boyfriend yet again but there was still no response. I roll over to see he wasn’t in my bed or anywhere in the room. Where did he go?
