And there's Alone?
I admit, I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing when I was writing it. I knew I wanted it to be about Jennifer and that I wanted her to be trapped, alone, in an isolated location. It was nice to get Jennifer out on her own adventure. She's fairly different from the others in the group in that she doesn't seem to have much in the way of personal problems. Not that that tends to last in this universe.
And then there was the creature.
I've had the idea of not being able to look at a creature in this fashion since like 2011 and I've wanted to use it a lot in The Shadow Wars.
And we haven't heard the last of that unseen horror.
Another fun thing was getting to show the beginnings of Jennifer and Genevieve's friendship. That wasn't really planned, it just kind of happened. That's always cool when stuff like that just kind of naturally blossoms.
Well, anyway, up next is Deathless.
Um, all I can say is strap yourselves in, it's going to get intense. It's easily the craziest thing I've written so far.
