Lottie
"Lottie! Are you even listening?" Kawua Parker barked. Lottie nodded carelessly as they went over everything for the 10th time that morning. Alyssa yawned, Cheyenne's head fell against Dai's shoulder, her eyes drooping with every other word. Dai rested her head on Cheyenne's, once again bored with Kawua giving an unneeded speech.
"Kawua! We get it!" Dai yawned loudly.
"O-oh, sorry guys. I got a little too ahead of myself." Kawua smiled sheepishly.
Lottie snorted. "A little is a bit of understatement," she muttered sleepily.
Kawua helped the girls get everything into the trunk and waved as they headed off at stupid and ridiculous, or 5 AM if you're normal.
Not even half an hour in, Cheyenne was asleep on Dai's lap. Alyssa wasn't too far behind her. "Hey, sleep. You need all the rest you can get." Lottie whispered lovingly to her. Alyssa nodded, curling up against Lottie's body as a pillow. Lottie smiled to herself, feeling drowsy enough.
"Lottie, that is your name, right?"
Lottie nodded, a steel glare set on Dai. Dai scoot back, as much as she could with Cheyenne sleeping soundly.
"Don't hurt her." Lottie hissed fiercely, feeling protective over the little ball of fluff, thanks to Cheyenne's sweater, it wasn't that hard to be a little ball of fluff, once more. Dai brushed some hair that had fallen into Cheyenne's face away.
"Wouldn't even dream of it."
"Good, maybe you'll be a good friend to her... Maybe even more." Lottie chuckled. Dai gave her a tiny smile, and the two girls both look at the ones that were asleep against them. Sighing in unison, they locked eyes. "Protect her," Dai said solemnly. Lottie smiled.
"Always," was her reply.
