Cheyenne

Cheyenne frowned, her newly drawn flag perched upon her pure-white bedroom wall. "What type of flag should it be though?" she questioned out loud. "It should be a Pride flag!" Joshua called from his room next door. Cheyenne smiled to herself. "It should, shouldn't it." She replied. She quickly grabbed her paints, and within minutes, covered the flag in red painter's tape.

"Hey, mum wants you." Ryan knocked on the door, poking his head through. "Nice flag," Cheyenne nodded, getting down from her step stool, as she is a short girl.

"Yes mum?" she asked, her mother turning around. "You need to go pack, summer break will be happening in a few weeks, and we're going to find you a summer camp. Perhaps one that is a intermixing gender camp." Her mother said aloud. Cheyenne could hardly contain herself. A summer camp? With both girls and boys? That's all she wanted!

"However," her mother continued, "That girl, what was her name? You know, that Parker girl? She will also be going. Her father arranged the whole thing." Her mother snipped the last part in disdain. Cheyenne frowned, acting as if she didn't want to see that 'Parker girl' at camp. "Understood, mum," she said coolly. Her mother nodded and dismissed her.

Cheyenne ran into her room and began packing things immediately.

"Going to summer camp! For the whole summer!" she sang happily. Ryan rolled his eyes, calling Alyssa and Lottie to see if they wanted to go with her.

Of course, they agreed.

Cheyenne squealed with delight when her friends showed up, packed and ready to go. "Can't wait!" Alyssa declared, a smile on her lips, the first since the last time Cheyenne had seen her. "Mum, when do we leave?" Cheyenne asked from her room. "Tomorrow night, thank Mr Parker for driving you three there. Don't rub off your ungodly gayness to my daughter!" Mrs Pierce shouted angrily.

Cheyenne giggled knowingly. "M'Kay mum! See you tomorrow morning!" Cheyenne bid goodnight to her mother and practically dragged the girls upstairs. Her brothers snuck in later at night to play dirty Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle, Never Have I Ever and Would You Rather.
