That evening, Kenzie's sister and Mum arrived home. They filled in Kenzie with all the lovely experiences they had on the trip. There was a lot of gossip too. As Kenzie loves gossip, her Mum told her all about the snooty parents on the trip.
She knew that her Mum would be too tired to cook so Kenzie had ordered Chinese take out for dinner. "Kenzie! Friend Rice and Garlic Chicken, Woohoo!, Thanks sis!", Yelled Veronica once she went into the kitchen to find out what was for dinner.
"Thanks baby for ordering food, I'm too exhausted to cook", said her mum while giving Kenzie a hug. Kenzie felt so happy having her family back home. And she was even more happy to have Ronnie back so that she could share the Zane news with her.
So after dinner when Kenzie and Ronnie were heading to their bedroom, she pulled aside Ronnie, "I've got something important to tell you."
"What is it? Tell me NOW!"
"Zane Andrews messaged me!"
"Ya right. Are you sure it isn't some fan account?"
"100% sure it's him."
"Wooohooo! Show me!"
"Wait, once we are tucked into bed. I don't want to show Mum."
"Alright."
Once they were all tucked in, with Tenny between them, she showed Ronnie the messages. Ronnie was too tired to read everything and fell asleep half way through. So Kenzie gave her a light kiss on the forehead and decided to scroll through Instagram.
When she was about to close the app, a message notification popped up. "Hmm, a message at this time, who could it be?", thought Kenzie, while she opened the message.
It was none other than Zane Andrews.
Zane: "You will not believe this, but I've started reading the books too!
I'm still on The Philosoper's Stone!
Man I've missed Hogwarts"
The message was only five minutes old, so Kenzie replied,
"I can relate :p"
Zane: hey Mackenzie
we finally meet
atleast virtually 😉
"WHAT IS HAPPENING?! IT'S ZANE ANDREWS!!", whispered Kenzie to Tenny. He just grunted and turned the other way.
Kenzie: HI ZANE!
I'm a big fan!
Zane: thanks

Kenzie: 😊
Isn't it early morning your side?
Zane: yeah
having trouble sleeping
so started reading HP and then got your message

Kenzie: yeah
just doing my nightly ritual of checking Instagram
where are you right now in HP world?
Zane: they've just got onto the train and have entered their compartment 😊
Kenzie: you are in for one hell of a ride!
Zane: yeah!
anyways, I think I've got an idea for the tune for a new song
something like the HP theme
I've gotta go try it on the piano

Kenzie: I play piano too!

Kenzie tried waking up Ronnie but it was of no use. So she just kept her phone aside and lay awake in bed. She would find out in the morning that Zane had sent her a follow request on Instagram.
