My eyes snapped open. I glanced around the room. There I was, strapped to a table with Kylo in front of me. It was like Poe had told me. I felt blood down my face.

"Let me go," I said, kicking and squirming. "Let me GO!"

"Don't struggle so much," he said, turning to me. "Where is she?"

"Where is who?" I was being honest when I spoke. I had no idea who he was referencing.

"The princess. We've been informed that you were very close to her." I was shocked. They didn't recognize me. To them, I wasn't the royal princess of Hosnian Prime. I was just a girl.

"How would you know where I'm from?" I asked, looking at him. "Maybe I don't know the princess at all."

"Oh, we'll see about that," he said, holding out his hand. I could feel him in my head.

I know the princess, I'm not the princess.

I know the princess, I'm not the princess.

I tried to keep repeating this phrase, but I had flashes of Poe. He was hurting. They were hurting him.

"Let. The. Pilot. Go," I growled, glaring at him. "Let him go, and I'll tell you about the princess." He sighed and took off his mask.

"I don't want to hurt him, Princess (YN)," he spat, "but I'm going to have to, as you're not being very cooperative." He knew. He knew who I was.

"How do you recognize me?" I asked, staring at him. "How do you know who I am?"

"I remember seeing your terrified eyes as you ran from the planet. Nothing but your eyes. And they resonated with me." He looked at me softly, and reached out again. "You were just a scared girl."

"And now, I am a warrior. So I suggest you let the pilot go, before I have to fight my way out of here," I threatened. He laughed. "Fight me."

"You couldn't even save yourself from the downfall of Hosnian Prime. You certainly can't fight me off," he said. "I'll be back, Princess." As he walked out of the room, I focused on trying to sense Poe.

He was just down the hallway.

I had to get out of the restraints. I tried kicking and squirming, but nothing. Focus. Slowly, I watched as the restraints moved. Bit by bit.

I hopped off of the table, touching my face and glancing at my hand. Blood. Who knows what he'd done while I was unconscious.

Nothing but your eyes. And they resonated with me.

I shook his words out of my mind as I reached for my lightsaber. He'd taken it. I was dismayed, but it didn't matter. What I needed now was Poe.

I ran down the hallway into the room he was in. Lifeless, on the floor, was Poe Dameron. I knew from past experience that I was strong enough to carry him, but I didn't know if I even had the strength now.

I hastily picked him up. He was much heavier than last time. Or maybe that was just the side effects of having my mind looked into. Either way, I had to make it down this corridor and to a TIE fighter.

Poe had flown one of those once. I hadn't. Now that he was unconscious, I'd have to do it myself. Somehow.

"Hey, isn't that the prisoner girl?" I heard someone ask. I'd been spotted. I knew that, before long, I'd be greeted with an army of stormtroopers that I couldn't take on without any kind of weapon.

"I'm not the prisoner girl," I said, turning to him.

"She's not the prisoner girl," I heard him repeat as I ran off.

Eventually I reached the landing bay, filled with empty TIE fighters. My arms felt like they were about to fall off because of how heavy Poe was. I dropped him into a seat, belted him in the best I could, and got in the other seat.

I started it up, glancing at the buttons. I recognized some, but others were completely unrecognizable. I pressed random triggers, hoping one of them was the start button.

"Wake up, Poe Dameron!" I yelled, but I heard nothing in response. "Please."

All I had to do was make it to the Resistance base in order to save the both of us. I managed to get myself out of the bay as quickly as I knew how, and headed towards the base.

I thought I was doing fine until I heard the sound of other ships flying around me. Dammit. I couldn't shoot anything; Poe had to do that. I just had to dodge.

I saw the Resistance planet approaching, but I needed the other fighters off of my trail first. Blasters came out of a cannon and began shooting at the fighters. Including me.

I frantically grabbed for the radio.

"Leia! Connix! It's me! I'm the middle fighter! The one in front!" I yelled into the radio. But it was too late. I was hit. "Don't shoot us! I have Poe, he's unconscious!"

I could only hope that my message got across as the other fighters were hit. It was just us, toppling towards D'Qar.

"Princess!" I heard. "Princess?"

"Poe!" I yelled back. "Brace yourself, we're going down!"

The last thing I did was turn the fighter so that when it landed, the impact would be on me.

The Resistance needed Poe Dameron.

They did not need the Princess that was putting them all in danger.
