Alliances noun
1. a union or association formed for mutual benefit, especially between countries or organizations.
Let's be clear on one thing : I did not want to agree to this.
However it's very rare that my father gets to show up on RAW so I was willing to just put my personal feelings aside and push through this little dream segment of his. As soon as the signature rolled for the start of the show and the fireworks went off, I saw the little graphic advertisement for Piper's Pit with Dean and I as guests.
The crowd's reaction was deafening.
I reflected on that noise and compared it with the anticipation of me currently standing in the ring. My title was perched on my shoulder as I searched for where Ambrose would be making his entrance.
Everyone was growing restless looking left and right waiting for the music to cue, then it finally did.
"Sierra
Hotel
India
Echo
Lima
Delta
The Shield!"
The music began and my eyes drifted to where every audience member was turning in their chairs. Of course emerging was Dean in his hoodie, a smirk on his face as he squared his shoulders.
I was surprised that he was actually alone but then I saw following behind him was his hounds - Rollins and Reigns - walking obediently and protectively.
"Dad," I whispered, through a fake smile. "I thought it was just Ambrose."
"The more the merrier," he laughed, slapping my shoulder. "Besides this will bring a lot of extra controversy."
"Controversy?"
"Yup."
I watched the three men hop over the barricade with ease, taking their time entering in order to give me a smirk or two. Dean especially as he smoothly grabbed the microphone from the seat and his loyal boys occupied the emptied chairs.
"Second time on Pipers Pit," he chuckled, glancing from my father to me. "This is either a redemption for the last ending to this or someone has clearly taken a peak at my bucket list."
"You know this doesn't have to end like last time," I mused. "But something tells me it might since you came prepared with your boys."
"My boys come with me because they want to be sure that me getting an out of blue invite on here is not some genius set up by you and your lovely, ailing father here." He motioned to him and I slapped his hand down. A smirk crossed his face. "Oh that's right you ARE protective of him. So I'm sure you won't be stupid enough to put him in any type of danger. So Mr. Hot Rod, we can get this show on the road."
I glared at him and heard my dad laughing.
"Well I guess I should let you know exactly why I chose you two, specifically, for tonight's special edition." He chuckled. "Last week, just seven days ago, Blake set you guys up to be beat by the Neidharts. But just twenty four hours ago, the entire world saw what looked like a collaboration between you all at Payback. So my question is - was last night a revealing of an alliance that had been formed all along?"
I smirked and looked at Dean who shared my same expression.
"Was it?" He asked, running his tongue over his teeth. I knew he was back pedaling to that proposal to work together.
