THANK YOU!
I know it has been forever and a day since an update. It has been an incredibly busy couple of weeks at work. Let's just say I was working on several major projects plus somehow ended up with a real social life lol.

For those that have read my other stories thank you so much for your sympathies. My herniated discs were being really bad babies. The good news is I have been placed on the correct treatment plan and am living virtually pain free.

This chapter may seem familiar. This is the reimagined prologue, that was up for a very brief period of time. It was removed because it seemed to confuse more people than it helped. I am placing it later in the story where it will make more impact.

**Anyway I hope this was worth the wait.**

"What?" Hades glared at Apollo as the doors to the hydroponics bay opened. Cornelia's hair was suspiciously disheveled, and Apollo hid his reaction behind a poorly disguised bout of coughing.

Artemis stepped across the threshold and gazed around the hydroponics bay. "Who knew all it took to make you useful was a girl."

"Come again?" Hades' tone was unabashedly aggressive. "Need I remind you that you are in my world now."

She turned back to him and shrugged as she gained her more militaristic composure, "I only meant that this would have been more useful to us on the Olympus instead of having to expose ourselves in the sweaty and crowded markets of this primitive world."

Cornelia felt the small hairs on her skin bristle, and she shifted with discomfort. She was used to Artemis' colder side, but this seemed extreme even for her. Hades' narrowed eyes echoed her suspicion. She tried to gauge Apollo's reaction in hopes that he would pick up on the same strange behavior, but he was so consumed with the snake-haired creature in his arms that he was oblivious to Artemis' transgressions.

Cornelia felt naked without her sword, but also knew she was no contest to any of the men or women in the room.

"Well, a lot of things happened while you slept comfortably."

"We all know that was, because of Hera." Artemis glared at him, "If I had a choice in the matter I would have taken over the ship and kicked Zeus out."

"You sure would have." Apollo perked up and looked at his sister with pride. "You could best all of us even if you were sleeping." he nudged her playfully.

A cool smile spread across her lips, "Indeed."

Hades smiled at her with practiced stoicism. "I am sure you are exhausted from your Journey. Let's find you a place to rest."

"What about the monster?" She gestured toward Medusa. "She tried to attack my brother."

"It was not her fault!" Apollo clutched Medusa's unconscious body against his chest and turned to shield her slumbering form from view.

"She is a wild animal Apollo nothing more," Artemis rested a hand on his shoulder. "I know she is beautiful, but you need to see her for what she is."

He whimpered, "it was not her fault." He growled and stepped back from his sister, "it was the basilisk."

"Regardless," Artemis pushed out her chest. "She needs to be placed in protective custody. She has attacked us on multiple occasions and cannot be trusted."

Hades nodded in agreement. "I have made arrangements that keep all parties safe and comfortable." He winked at Apollo, "just because he has alternate tastes does not mean we have any room to make judgments."
