I'm Harley Cherrywill. I attend Oak Park highschool. I'm in the 10th grade, and right now I'm being pushed around the halls, trying to get to my locker. Nobody really knows I exist. I get good grades, voulenteer, and I've never gotten in trouble, but life isn't as good as it seems. I want something more. I need somebody to love, someone to hold me and take care of me. I want to meet Mr. Right.
My best friend Alex says I need to change. That no boy is ever going to like me unless I become someone else.
I grab my lunch out of my locker, and scurry to the lunch room. I look around, until I spot Alex. I make myself as small as possible, and squeeze through the giant herd of people. With relief, I plop down on the seat next to Alex.
"Hey Harley! What took you so long?" "Sorry, Ms. Jones kept me a little longer," I respond to Alex. Alex has wavy brown hair, big green eyes, and red lips. I don't understand how we're friends. I have long slick blonde hair, freckles, and small blue eyes, hiding behind large, thick black glasses.
I get off the bus and walk up to my large brick house. As I walk in a say hello to mom and grab a pop tart. My mom says hello back as I start walking up stairs to my room.
When I get to my room, I sit down in my soft, lime green chair. My computer turns on, and I sign in. Chrome opens and I search Google, How to make people like you. As I look through the search results, I wonder if I'll actually find something that will work.
I scroll down and see a website name that catches my eye. It reads, The Perfection List: The list that will make you popular and beautiful. I immediately knew this was it. I opened the website and a document showed up. It was written in pink cursive with a beige background. At the bottom was a sketch of three roses.
This is what it says:
The Perfection List: The list that will you popular and beautiful
1. Like how you look. Have a large wardrobe and makeup collection. Always have lip gloss on you.
2. Have fun. Don't always be serious. Have a sense of humor.
3. Be flirty, guys like that. Don't be afraid to get out there. Boys like confidence.
4. Don't be totally devoted to school. You don't always have to get good grades.
5. Don't be afraid to get close to people and try to make friends.
6. If you're a not so pretty nerd, I would advise a total makeover. Boys like short hair, big lips, big booties, and big breasts.
I have a feel this is going to be amazing! I know I need this list to become someone. I can't survive highschool without it.
