Chapter 62

2.9K 50 2

I feel like trash today. It may or may not have something to do with the fact that Blake walked out on me last night. Oh well.

I was lying on the floor in my room when I decided to get up because I haven't moved since I got dressed. I went in the kitchen with Bailey following me.

I got the pineapple and strawberries out of the refrigerator and started to cut them up. While I was in the middle of cutting my pineapple, someone knocked on the door. I originally was gonna let whoever it was just stand out there, but I decided to go see who it was.

When I opened the door and saw Blake standing there, I wanted to slam the door in his face, but I didn't. I just walked back to the kitchen, leaving the door open.

I was the biggest asshole to Bri last night. I shouldn't have walked out on her like that. She's just the first girl I've had such strong feelings for and so I do stupid things.

I went to her house to apologize for being a dick because she didn't deserve that. When I got there, she didn't say anything when she opened the door; she just walked off. I went in the kitchen and watched her, angrily, cut up a pineapple.

"We need to talk," I finally said.

"Oh now you wanna talk?" she asked.

"Babe, I'm sorry. I never should have walked out on you. I don't know why I got so mad over something so petty."

"Blake, we've only been together for a month and you already don't trust me. Do you know how that makes me feel?" she asked.

I shook my head.

"It makes me feel like a shitty person because I feel like I keep fuckin' up. I wan- SHIT!"

I looked down and she somehow managed to slice her finger open. There was blood all over the counter. She went to the sink and cleaned up her hand.

"Bri, you need to go to the hospital," I said.

"No I don't."

"Yes you do. You need to get your finger stitched up," I said getting my keys.

She walked out of the house and I followed her.

When we got back from the hospital, Briana went in her room and closed the door. She didn't talk the whole ride there or the ride back. I knocked on her door hoping she would open it.

"Leave me alone!" she shouted.

"Babe, open the door."

"Because we still need to talk."

She opened the door and I walked in her room.

"What do you wanna talk about Blake? You wanna talk about how you don't trust me? You wanna sit here and tell me how big of a slut I am? You wanna tell me how you made a mistake getting into a relationship with me? What?"

"No! None of that is true!"

"That's what you're making it seem like though," she said looking looking away.

"I know. I've never been this serious about anyone in my life, so when it comes to you, I do dumb shit."

She didn't say anything, but her phone started ringing. She picked it up and looked at the screen, then threw it back on the bed.

"Is that him?" I asked.

Her phone rang again and this time she answered it. She put it on speaker so I could hear what was said.

Bri: what Jessie?

Jessie: I need you Briana

Bri: I have a boyfriend now Jessie & you know I don't live out there anymore

Jessie: so you want me to come out there?

Bri: no, I have a boyfriend!

Jessie: he doesn't have to know

Bri: bye Jessie

She hung up and put her phone back down.

"He seems pretty persistent," I said breaking the silence.

"I guess," she said kinda standoffish.

"Bri, are you still mad at me?"

She shrugged.

"Briana, baby, I am sorry. But, I mean, how can you not expect me to get jealous? Guys throw themselves at you all the time, so it bothers me."

"Blake, you literally have a shit ton of girls trying to get in your bed 24/7, but I don't say anything because I trust you. Why can't you do the same?"

"I already told you that I do; it's the guys I don't trust," I said moving closer to her.

"And I already told you, I don't want anyone else but you. So if I do get hit on by other guys, it doesn't matter because I'm not paying them any attention."

She finally looked up at me. It's the first time she's looked at me all day. I put my hands on her waist, then pulled her closer to me.

"Can you forgive me for being an ass?" I asked with my forehead against hers.

"I forgive you," she said, "but you need to stop making me mad because I don't like being mad at you."

"Okay," I said before giving her a peck on the lips, "so are we cool now?"

"Yeah, we cool."

She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me.
