Brynn looked around the room, where everyone was staring at her. Hopper stood up, grabbed her arm, and pulled her out into the hallway.

"Okay listen, I know you care about him and all, but you cant go flinging people into walls whenever you want to, there are other people here."

"I was only protecting him." Brynn said defensively.

"I know, and that's fantastic, but you don't need to be using your powers in front of these Doctors."

"I thought we trusted them..."

"We don't trust anyone." Hopper said. Brynn nodded, then the Doctor came walking up behind them.

"Is it okay if I run a few tests on her? Just to make sure she's-"

"She's fine." Hopper said, cutting Doctor Owen off.

"Are you sure? She just-"

"Yes, I'm Sure."

"Just a vitals-"

"I'm going to say this one more time, and I'm gonna say it loud and clear." Hopper started. "She's. Fine."

"Alright, but if you change your mind-"

"I'm not going to change my mind! Now don't you have a job to do?" Hopper asked, the Doctor nodded and walked back to Will's room. Hopper looked back down at Brynn.

"Don't let them touch you."

"I won't." Brynn said. He walked her back in the room and she sat back in the chair beside Will's bed. The doctor took Hopper and Joyce back into the hallway and Brynn listened to their conversation.

"Our best guess right now it that it's some kind of virus, which is causing this neurological disorder. Now, when... when a typical virus attaches itself to it's host... It duplicates right? It spreads, essentially hijacking the host." Dr. Owen explained. "A virus is alive. It has an intelligence. That's not unusual. What id so unusual here... this virus... and the infected host seem to be communicating. It has some sort of a hive intelligence, and its connecting to all of the hosts. The good news, is that a virus can be cured. We were going to continue to run tests. we're gonna see what we find."

"What happens when he cant remember anything? When there's nothing else there? What happens when my boy is gone?" Joyce asked. Brynn tapped out, staring at the floor.

"What are they saying?" Will asked.

"What?... Oh... I wasn't listening..." Brynn lied. She saw several shadows pass the door, and tapped into a meeting room.

"We have bigger problems than the boy." One man said.

"Do we?"

"We cant keep delaying the burn."

"You're talking about... Putting a Band-Aid on this?" Owen stammered.

"Right now, a Band-Aid is the best option. It's our only option." Brynn tapped out once again and started fiddling with her fingers. the words, 'We have bigger problems than the boy' kept replaying in her head. Suddenly, the light above them went out. Brynn stood up and went to a small bathroom down the hall. She went in and looked in the mirror. She was the same ghostly pale she'd seen hundreds of times.

"Please not right now..." She muttered. She slid down into the floor as voices erupted into her head once again. She covered her ears and closed her eyes, but nothing helped. She couldn't bear the sound, and she screamed. When she did, every single cubicle in the bathroom slammed shut, the lights went out, and the sinks came on. She focused and the lights flickered back on. She gasped when she saw the mirror. It was shattered all over the counter and the floor, only a few stray shards left on the wall. She quickly left the bathroom, hurrying back to Will's room. She went in and sat next to Mike once again.

"What the heck is taking so long?" Joyce asked.

"Hey, doctors take forever, always. Just try and relax. Just be patient." Bob said. The room was silent for a minute, something it hadn't been all day.

"You know, I just..." Joyce started, walking out of the room, then Bob followed her. All of a sudden, Will's heart monitor started beeping faster.

"Will?" Mike asked, sharing a glance with Brynn.

"Will? Are you okay?" She asked.

"Will? Will!" Mike shouted, and Will jumped and looked at them.

"What's wrong? Are you hurting again?" Mike asked.

"I-I saw something." Will stuttered.

"In your now-memories?" Will nodded slowly.

"The shadow monster. I think I know how to stop him."
