Chapter 23

I arrived at the arena as feathers started to fall from the sky 'Kai' I thought as I pulsed my chakra, the instant reaction after was to run straight to the Hokage. I arrived just as a barrier appeared around Orochimaru and both the Kage's I only just made it through the barrier shocking the Hokage who still hadn't quite realised what had happened and Orochimaru who looked at me in surprise. Meanwhile the Raikage looked surprised to see me, "I didn't know you would help Yuki," he said explaining his surprise to me with those words.

"I may have been practically kidnapped and forced to be a hidden leaf shinobi..." I was interrupted by the Raikage snorting so I sent a glare his way, "That doesn't mean I don't have a personal hate for Orochimaru," I admitted my glare moving towards our opponent.

"I didn't know you had it in you, I mean I guess I have heard of what happens to those you get angry at but, there aren't many things that can actually anger you," the Raikage spoke to me whilst Orochimaru ranted at the Hokage.

"I consider it a personal insult that he managed to get a cursed seal on one of my teammates," I deadpanned.

"I'm surprised he actually managed it," He replied.

"I was told to solo the exams so I was a little late to the party they were having," I announce. I continued before he could say anything, "Also if you're wondering why I stayed when I could have left I was interested in being a Genin," I explained quickly as I saw Orochimaru wrapping up his dramatic speech.

I heard him muttering to himself something to do with me I think but I blocked it out as I noticed Orochimaru finally attack the Hokage. At this point, the Hokage was going strong so I just sat down to watch ignoring the Raikage's palm coming to his face at my reaction. I was casually watching until Orochimaru called his next jutsu "Edo Tensai," I was in motion instantly in front of the third box. My fans in my hands as I slashed across and a vortex smashed both the box and the forming person along with the seal Orochimaru held to pieces.

I leaped backward and landed a few feet from the Hokage, causing all of them to look at me in shock. As the two other boxes opened I stood in my starting stance both fans held in my hands one was raised the other was faced downwards. My stance did not change even as both the first and second Hokage stepped out, Orochimaru stepped forward and held two other seals one to the first and another to the second. The seals seemed to slide into their heads as if through water, instantly they leaped at the third. I intercepted the first and easily drew him away from where the third attempted to beat the second.

His taijutsu was impressive but hard to follow, it was evident that the way people used their styles now were evolved and very different. Neither version was better they were simply different from each other. As I expected the Raikage did not get involved, this was a hidden leaf matter, the only reason they were involved was by accident. There was low chance their genin would help out either as they would see the Raikage not fighting and simply find somewhere to lay low.

I saw the first start hand signs and instantly closed my eyes, this was not the time to gain another ability. I focused on the winds and where they lead I felt them stop and I instantly flicked my fan allowing the wind to slice the trees seemingly appearing from nowhere. I was unsurprised as when his attack did not work he once again attempted taijutsu. Unfortunately, it was far harder to fight him blind then whilst I was able to see the attacks coming. I leaped backward where an ice mirror appeared, I glided from this mirror to another I had created behind Orochimaru.

Fans in hand I opened my eyes and instantly flicked them sending a blade of wind off of their edges. I was unsurprised to see Orochimaru draw his sword when he saw me. "You fight a battle you have nothing to do with?" he asked anger evident in his voice.

"Oh but it is my business, after all, you attacked my teammate and marked him with such an ugly mark," I said easily. I swapped my fans hooking them to my skirt for a beautiful blade, "I was almost sad to be a genin, Aisubureido my precious blade whilst pretty sings for blood," I said a smile on my face as I leaped. I nicked his cheek on my first swipe making my blade glow.

We clashed hard and our blades created sparks as they join. I jumped back before deactivating my weight seals, they glowed making Orochimaru's eyes to narrow and then widen when I disappeared. Small nicks appeared along his arms and to his surprise they started to freeze slowly, the blood stopped moving and so did his arms. "What are you doing?" He cried in horror as he realised what else my blade had frozen.

"She really is gorgeous isn't she?" I asked running my hand down the flat side of the blade. "She has a special little property, Aisubureido the ice blade. Freeze's blood flesh and more impressively your chakra channels and all of this is permanent unless you have a skilled enough medic to reverse it," I explain taking absolute delight in the horror appearing on his face.

His eyes narrowed before he created to clones to send towards me before disappearing. I quickly leaped off to find the third and his opponents only to find him about to be killed with severe chakra exhaustion as well as something I couldn't identify. I disappeared in pure speed and cut off the seconds arm before rushing through hand signs. Around my blade winds raced allowing me to thoroughly ground both his head and the seal within it to pieces.

Unfortunately, at this point, I was exhausted and I missed the signs and was stabbed in the side by the first. Before he could try for a more lethal blow I had run through hand signs causing black lightning panthers to race towards him. Where I pinned him using the last of my chakra to form ice shackles holding him down. The barrier was falling now as Orochimaru had called for a retreat.

'I am lucky that Orochimaru being weakened has affected them as well' I thought as he was finally defeated and with the last of my consciousness, I felt myself being picked up.

Sorry for the late update! I have been getting back into the swing of things with school and I am a procrastinator as well...

Anyway, the competition I was entered in is over now. it was lots of fun and is actually my only original piece uploaded to my account! To be honest this story is, in fact, coming to an end and it all depends on whether I write a sequel soon.
