"I don't need a haircut," I told Riley but he still dragged me to the mall's salon. Despite of all my protests, wala na akong nagawa kasi si Riley na mismo ang kumausap sa staff. Next thing I know, Riley and I are already sitting next to each other while having mani-pedi. My hair is now pure black, wala nang blonde and brown highlights. Just plain pure black hair na hanggang sa balikat ko. I like how they made my hair curl by the end, I think it looks cute.
"You look hotter with pitch-black hair," Riley says with a smile, making me blush.
"Riley naman eh!" Napahawak ako sa pisngi ko. "You're making my heart flutter!" pag-amin ko.
Riley rolled his eyes. For a guy, mahaba ang eyelashes niya kaya mas lalo tuloy attractive ang eyes niya. Pagkatapos magtungo sa salon, nag-dinner na agad kami. Karaniwan naming kasama si Piper sa tuwing nagpupunta ng mall but wala siya ngayon kasi may ginagawa daw siyang term paper. Hindi naman ako maka-hindi kay Riley kaya pumayag nalang ako. Niyaya ko rin si Lucho kaso may ginagawa daw siya. Si Warren naman nagpapahinga dahil may laro siya mamaya.
Akala ko uuwi na kami pero hinila agad ako ni Riley papunta sa isang boutique at agad siyang namili ng damit.
"Try these on," Riley insisted as he handed me a bunch of unholy clothes to try. It's a boutique for girls but Riley's not interested to wear any of the clothes here, kahit kasi gay si Riley ay mas prefer padin niya na magsuot ng clothes for boys. Riley likes picking out clothes for me. She's treating me like a dress-up doll but I don't mind since I think it's making her happy. Plus alam kong libre niya 'to kaya okay nadin.
"Why are you getting me new clothes?" I couldn't help but ask. Riley only gets me new clothes whenever he wants me to go somewhere with him like nung one time nagpasama siya sa birthday party ng cousin niya. Hala! What if this is the point where Riley asks me to be his pretend girlfriend?! Tapos magkaka-developan kami! Hala!
"We're going to watch Warren's game and then you'll accompany me to the bar since may gig ang Wave Syndicate doon. Now go change, you dumbaby cutie!" Riley giggled as he pushed me towards the fitting room.
"Is it really necessary to buy new clothes for tonight? I mean we're just going to watch a band's gig?" I couldn't help but ask Riley as I went inside the fitting room and tried on the velvet black dress that she picked out for me.
"Baby B, Wave Syndicate is playing tonight. Malay mo member pala ng band na 'yon ang magiging first boyfie mo," Riley said, making me cringe. Pero kailangan din ba talaga akong manood ng basketball game? I mean I really don't want to watch it lalo na ngayong alam kong nasa kabilang team si Denver.
