Anastasia Nava loved the dark. She loved it because of the secrets it kept, but she also loved the way it made her feel safe. Because when night falls, no one can hurt her. The kids at college can't harass her and remind her of her brother's death. They can't touch her when the moon shines. It's like she is living in another world when the sun sets; an imaginary world where no one can hurt her.
After Anastasia met Mason Steele, she started appreciating both day and night as long as he was there by her side. But his kind doesn't like humans. And suddenly, Anastasia finds herself in the middle of a war.
Darkness doesn't sound so appealing right now to her. She just hopes that trusting Mason wasn't a mistake; that he will keep her safe and love her for the rest of his life.
After all, only a vampire can love you forever.
