A/N: It's been a while since the first Nurse's Office was posted. Even I had to go back to get the details, so you might wanna skim through the first one so you're not confused about what's going on in this one!

Your happy mood does not last as long as you would have hoped. Then again, happy moods never really last that long for you anyway. Learning about Shakespeare was difficult when paper balls continuously fly in your direction.

"Naiya," the teacher, Mr. Ahn, calls. You give him a blank stare. "Can you give a quick summary of the play?"

You roll your eyes. "No."

"Excuse me?" Mr. Ahn looks taken aback.

"There's, like, twenty other students in this class," you explain. "Pick someone else."

"I want you to stay after class today."

You shrug and avert your gaze from Mr. Ahn's face. This would be the fourth time in three weeks you have received detention for this class. Honestly, the treatment that you have been getting from your fellow classmates was severely affecting your schoolwork.

The girl from earlier is quietly snickering. The whole class was, but she just annoyed you the most. Another paper ball hits you on the head. You clench your fist and close your eyes before letting out a slow breath. Just let it go.

When class finally ends, you stare at the empty page in your notebook as the other students scurry out. The buzz of voices soon dies down. The sound of Mr. Ahn's shoes coming toward you makes you irritable. He stops in front of your desk and you look up.

"What's going on with you?"

You focus your eyes on the window and absentmindedly thumb the band aid on your cheek. "Nothing."

"Naiya, I've seen your previous work. You're an amazing student," he praises. "I just don't understand why you're not expressing your true potential."

"Maybe those were just easy assignments," you argue.

Mr. Ahn sighs. "Stop trying to make excuses. Skipping class, missing homework assignments, rude comments in class. This doesn't seem like the same person your previous teachers told me about."

You glare at him. "You spoke to my other teachers?"

"I wanted to get a better understanding of the kind of person you are. They spoke so highly of you. The recommendation letters peaked my interest, but I was disappointed when you did not meet my expectations. Your grades from the past few years just don't match what I'm seeing now." When you don't reply, he continues. "Does it have anything to do with transferring. It's probably hard to fit into a new community. And I know the kids here aren't the nicest. If they're bothering you in any way--"

"I can take care of myself," you interrupt. "Stop trying to counsel me. Stick to being a teacher."

Mr. Ahn removes his glasses. He rubs his eyes before returning his glasses to his face.

"Now I don't normally do this, but I know you're not this kind of student that you are pretending to be. I am giving you two weeks to turn in all of your missing assignments. And I want to see your real work." He pauses. "Also, no more unexcused absences. I'll forget all about your past offences if you follow these rules."

"Is that all?" you try to remain passive, but you are actually touched by how Mr. Ahn was handling the situation.

"You're dismissed."
