Sang Baby.

I couldn't take much more of this before I lost the last of my restraint and let it loose on the fuckers behind me. And one of them in particular, the one who had been in between her legs. I'd never forget that clusterfuck. My baby, hurt, bleeding, violated...

I didn't know what was going on, it hadn't been more than an hour or two since we've arrived. We have had no news, good or bad, except from Nathan who only said that Sang was still unconscious.

It was difficult enough already to have let her out of my sight. But to stay away from her right now... I didn't know what to do. And for the first time ever, I found myself regretting the bond. Her fear, pain, and then the following lack of emotion almost tore me apart.

I had to see her.

Without another word, I got to my feet and swung Brainbiter over my shoulder. The others barely spared me a glance, already knowing what my intentions were. But, honestly, it didn't matter if anyone would be unhappy about it. I had to either see her or I would skin something alive.

And there were two guesses as to what that something might be.

"Take care of her." Silas' voice reached me as I was about the leave. I paused, glancing back to see the three of them watching me. "We'll take care of things here." Silas finished.

Without another word, I nodded and left.

It felt like seconds before I had found that I had trekked the half -mile distance that separated me from her. Without pausing to see if it was alright for me to be here, I opened the door. The only thing that I could only focus on at the moment was the anxiety and pain that reached out to me through our bond.

And, for the first time, I looked at her. Before, she had been so small, bloody, and naked, that I only saw only bits and pieces. I had remained focused on her injuries, and the men that I had needed to defeat.

But now - Sang was lying in Kota's arms, her eyes half-open and expression unresponsive. From the looks of it, Dr Green had just finished with her hand. My heart roared within me as I recalled the little that I had seen of the injury. And now that she was not covered in blood, her other injuries were clear. Even with the covering that my brothers had cloaked her with.

"North, what are you-" Kota had glanced up upon my arrival. But I barely paid attention to him. In fact, I could do nothing else as I braced myself against the doorway while my mind fought to catch up with reality.

Because what Luke and the others had never realized was how much I knew. How involved I had been at the time. I, also, had recognized the magnitude of what had been done to Sang. The feeling earlier, the marks around her throat... it was proof of my greatest fear.

I had just turned eleven when my father, a commander, used his influence to pull me out of boot camp. Apparently, we had a 'family emergency', but at the time I wasn't sure what it could have been. After all, my father was literally the only family that I knew a the time, even if he wasn't even my biological father.

However, as I soon learned, he did have a biological son.

It actually didn't surprise me that my scumbag of a dad might have abandoned a pregnant woman. But what did surprise me was that dad seemed concerned about his abandoned child. He had received word that his son had been chosen for experiments.

That asshole of a father never cared about anyone. And I was at once jealous as I could only wonder, why him? Who the fuck was this other kid that dad wanted to see so much? I hated him. I didn't understand what the big deal was.
