Awake from a dream come true

My phone's alarm goes off playing "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'" out loud. I end it without any frustration or haste. Its a Saturday. I immediately smile when I think of...last night. Scott. I still can't believe I danced with him. In my amazingly good mood I get out of bed, take a shower and get dressed. I head to the kitchen, and this time the sun is a bit gentler on my eyes. "Morning princess, or should I rather say, queen." Said my mom with a smile. "Queen? What do you mean by that?" "Well I got a call about thirty minutes ago from a guy named Scott...he wanted to call you...." "WHAT?????!!!!!" I interrupt her. "ANYWAY.....he wanted to talk to you but I said that you weren't available and asked if I could take a message." "And?" I ask, my heart beating in my throat. "He said, and I quote, 'good morning and I miss you my queen!'" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Without saying a word I walk out the kitchen and out the back door, sat on the swing, my mind just plain spinning. Me? Queen?....

"He said what?" Chris' voice ringing in my ears. If I could count how many times I call him after something amazing happened, I'd be VERY clever. And tired. "Just what I just said. He said morning and he misses me." "Only he called you queen?" "Yes." The sound of it still makes my heart beat a thousand times faster than it should. "So I guess the dance was good?" Chris asked. He knew what I was gonna say next. "It was more than good. It was beyond amazing." I say with a longing sigh in my voice. I still can't take my mind off Friday night.

16:00 pm. Time to start with dinner. I wonder what mom's gonna make tonight. I sit at the kitchen counter paging through the "You" magazine. Suddenly the phone rings. "Hey, its Sky." Sky, my other best friend. He's just as amazing as Chris is but I know Chris longer than I know Sky. We met about two years ago (and you don't want to know how, honestly) "it was amazing beyond words.". "Did you meet anyone special?" I smile like a idiot when he asked that. "Yes..." I say with a chuckle. "Well? Can you spill the beans now please?" "Scott." "Scott? Oh wait, don't tel me its...." "...Yep. Its Scott Hoying" "O my....you're kidding me, right?" "No, why would I be?" He's taking it in as slowly as I did last night. "Elsa, that's huge!!" "I know, I still can't believe it actually happened" A little heart attack. Again. "So that's why he....oh I got to go, mom needs me. Tell me more on Monday!! Bye!" We both hang up at the same time.

20:00 pm. Its cold tonight. I suddenly wished Scott was here. I check my tweets if he didn't maby tweet anything about the ball last night. Nothing. But he did tweet SOMETHING. "I miss my queen tonight". Now people will start wondering....

10:00 am Sunday. I'm sitting in church next to Chris. My head is being haunted with Scott's angelic voice. And no, I don't want it out. Its to beautiful to want it to go away. We all stand to sing our last worship song for the day. "Our God is an awesome God"...I love this song more than any other gospel song that exists. At the end ot the song Chris and I walk home, we're not in the mood for Sunday school today. "So queen, you're up for school tomorrow?" For the first time since I moved to this high school I feel like saying no. You see, my school is different, perfect. Everyone's a Pentaholic and everyone's on twitter. I will be attacked with questions tomorrow. "No, I'm sick to my stomach just thinking about it."

Since the ball Friday night it feels like my life has turned into a roller coaster ride. And the ride just got faster...
